'1: Nenokkadine' highest rated Telugu film on IMDb
Chennai, Jan 20: Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu-starrer psychological thriller "1: Nenokkadine" may have opened to mixed reviews at the domestic box office, but the film has received a rating of 9.2 on International Movie Database (IMDb) website, superseding Hollywood movies such as "The Dark Knight Rises" and "Inception".

It currently holds the third spot on IMDb's highest rated thriller films with 9,254 votes.

The film, directed by B. Sukumar released Jan 10 for Sankranti. It opened to bad ratings and poor collections. But in the last few days, it picked up, thanks to word of mouth.

Chennai, Jan 17: Mahesh Babu is undeterred by the lukewarm response to his Telugu release "1: Nenokkadine". The superstar says that he is "proud" of the movie as it allowed him to step out of his "comfort zone" for the first time in his career.

"I did this film because I knew it wasn't a commercial outing. Therefore, I anticipated the response from the audience even before the release. I'm extremely proud of the film because for the first time in my career, I got an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and act," Mahesh told Ians.

Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu may team up for Mani Ratnam's film
Chennai, Jan 16: If all goes well, Telugu superstars Akkineni Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu will team up for a Tamil-Telugu bilingual with ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam, who is currently busy working on the script for the project.

"Mani sir had met Nagarjuna last week, discussed about the film and wanted to know if he was compatible to share screen space with Mahesh. Nagarjuna said he wouldn't mind working with Mahesh if given an opportunity," Nagarjuna's manager told Ians.

Chennai, Jan 2 (2014) Popular Telugu writer Chinni Krishna, who turned 48 Thursday, said he is all set to wield the megaphone this year and wants to make films with superstars such as Mahesh Babu and Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (Ntr).

"I want focus on direction this year. I have been asked to direct for a long time now but I just didn't feel the right time. Chennai, July 8: Gautham Krishna, son of superstar Mahesh Babu, will be seen playing the younger version of his father in upcoming Telugu action-thriller "1: Nenokkadine".

"Not all choreographers are given the opportunity to work with a superstar. The best choreographers get to work with star actors and, therefore, I consider working with Mahesh sir truly an honour," Prem Rakshit told Ians.

"I was initially brought on to work on only two songs in the film. However, Mahesh sir was so much impressed with my work that he wanted me to choreograph all the five songs," he added.

New Delhi, Feb 12: Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha has reportedly demanded 5 crores for a Telgu film by Krish Jagarlamudi in which she will be seen opposite Mahesh Babu.

According to reports, the 25-year-old Sinha had limited dates but she liked the script and was also keen to do a period film, so she gave her consent.

After delivering a string of hits in Bollywood, Sonakshi Sinha is now headed to South. The actress has signed her first Telugu film Shivam opposite superstar Mahesh Babu. Shivam is a period film directed by Krish (Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi) who is a big name in the Telugu film industry. Apparently, Krish wrote the film keeping Sonakshi in mind and it was Prabhu Dheva who got the actress to meet Krish following which the deal was signed. The film is expected to go on floors later this year.

Chennai, Jan 29: Hollywood stuntman Conrad Palmisano, known for coordinating stunts for film series like "Rush Hour" and "Lethal Weapon", has been roped in to choreograph stunts for upcoming, yet-to-be-titled Telugu film of actor Mahesh Babu.

"Since the film has high-octane action sequences, Hollywood stuntman Conrad has been roped in to choreograph stunts. Mahesh is doing a stunt sequence today (Tuesday) under the supervision of Conrad," a source from the film's unit told Ians.
