Chennai, Jan 20: Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu-starrer psychological thriller "1: Nenokkadine" may have opened to mixed reviews at the domestic box office, but the film has received a rating of 9.2 on International Movie Database (IMDb) website, superseding Hollywood movies such as "The Dark Knight Rises" and "Inception".

It currently holds the third spot on IMDb's highest rated thriller films with 9,254 votes.

The film, directed by B. Sukumar released Jan 10 for Sankranti. It opened to bad ratings and poor collections. But in the last few days, it picked up, thanks to word of mouth.

Chennai, Jan 17: Mahesh Babu is undeterred by the lukewarm response to his Telugu release "1: Nenokkadine". The superstar says that he is "proud" of the movie as it allowed him to step out of his "comfort zone" for the first time in his career.

"I did this film because I knew it wasn't a commercial outing. Therefore, I anticipated the response from the audience even before the release. I'm extremely proud of the film because for the first time in my career, I got an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and act," Mahesh told Ians.

Chennai, Jan 2 (2014) Popular Telugu writer Chinni Krishna, who turned 48 Thursday, said he is all set to wield the megaphone this year and wants to make films with superstars such as Mahesh Babu and Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (Ntr).

"I want focus on direction this year. I have been asked to direct for a long time now but I just didn't feel the right time. I have 10 scripts ready and I plan to direct five of them and others can direct the rest. I want to direct superstars such as Mahesh Babu, Ntr and Ram Charan," Krishna told Ians.

New Delhi, Oct 21: Utv Motion Pictures Monday announced its first production in Telugu with superstar Mahesh Babu. To be written and directed by Koratala Siva, the film will go on the floors in July 2014.

Chennai, July 8: Gautham Krishna, son of superstar Mahesh Babu, will be seen playing the younger version of his father in upcoming Telugu action-thriller "1: Nenokkadine".

Scenes featuring Gautham were canned in London Sunday.

"Gautham is playing the younger version of Mahesh in the film. Some important scenes on Gautham were shot yesterday (July 7) in London," the film's spokesperson told Ians.

Mumbai, March 30: "Jolly Llb" director Subhash Kapoor says that he would not be surprised if Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and even Bangla producers are interested in remaking the film.
