Ajay has travelled to more than 35 countries, including Tanzania, Peru, Nicaragua, India, and Norway. A stint in the rainforest of Costa Rica kick-started his passion for song writing (a lack of electricity helped!).

Ajay's maternal grandparents are from India and his father's parents have Finnish, German, Lithuanian, and Polish roots.

Most of Ajay's pets - Onyx the dog, Mitten the hamster, Kali the cat, and Norbi the crested gecko - had no tails.

Ajay loves hip hop and has danced competitively.

Ajay played a sort of "supporting role" in the Broadway tour of Miss Saigon - he went on tour as a baby with his family when his sister Amisha was cast as 3-year-old Tam.
