Oswaldo Díaz Medina

Born in Lima, Peru. At the age of 12 Oswaldo took part in a Peruvian dance group, where he trained for several years. Between 1998 and 1999 he performed as an actor for theater productions. Both art forms brought Oswaldo to directing. In 2005 Oswaldo became bachelor in communications at the University of Lima. In 2006 he finished his Master in Audiovisual Production at the Autónoma University of Barcelona. Since 2009 Oswaldo lives in Berlin, where he studied directing at the German Film and Television Academy of Berlin-dffb. In 2016 he releases 'YOUKALI', his first academic feature film, which took part in several festivals around the world. Since 2018 he is developing 'SELFIE', his first experimental documentary film project, this time in Odisha, India. Since 2024 Oswaldo has been developing this new feature film project 'THE PLANET HUACHIMAMORA' as an international co-production.
