Heidi Klum is officially back on Project Runway in the trailer for season 21 of the beloved fashion series.

In the first-look clip of the brand new season, Klum can be seen reentering the workroom alongside contestant mentor Christian Siriano. Season 21 marks the first time the two legendary fashion figures will be working alongside each other on the reality TV show after Siriano won season four back in 2007.

“Now that’s an entrance,” Siriano exclaimed as the pool of designers screamed and cheered for Klum’s monumental Project Runway return. Returning guest judge Nina Garcia was also introduced in the trailer alongside new judge Law Roach, giving viewers a glimpse at the fresh dynamic among the judges panel.

One day you’re in, the next day you’re out … but then one day you could be back in again.

That’s the case for Heidi Klum, who returns to host “Project Runway” as seen in the Season 21 trailer out Tuesday after exiting the fashion design competition at the end of Season 16 in 2017.

“We’re in a new home, with new rules,” the supermodel teases in the trailer, which also showcases a revamped workroom.

Joining her will be Season 4 winner Christian Siriano as mentor — since Klum’s former “Making the Cut” co-host Tim Gunn will not be returning — as well as series mainstay Nina García and new judge Law Roach.

Meanwhile, some notable contestants this time around include “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 13 star Utica, aka Ethan Mundt; as well as three previous “Project Runway” contestants — Jesus Estrada from Season 7, Caycee Black from Season 19 and Veejay Floresca from “Project Runway Philippines.

A new season of Project Runway is upon us, and to help find the next big fashion designer, the Freeform reality competition has recruited top talent guest judges.

Heidi Klum, Nina García, and Law Roach are joined on the judging panel by familiar faces from the reality TV series, such as designers Michael Kors and Zac Posen.

Kors was one of the Og judges and part of the panel for the first ten seasons of the franchise. Posen joined the series after Kors left and judged the competition for the next six seasons.

Season 21 of the series will also see Sofía Vergara guest judge in a reunion with Klum as the two judged America’s Got Talent for several seasons.

After a two-year wait, Project Runway is back with its 21st season. The good news is that the original host, Heidi Klum, is back. The bad news is that mentor Tim Gunn is not back, much to the sorrow of long-time fans of the fashion reality series. Regardless, there’s still quite a lot to look forward to.

There is a new set of contestants, new and dynamic challenges, and a slate of guest stars who will join the judges in rating the work of the participants in their respective episodes. Here’s what we know about the upcoming edition, including the premiere date, judges, guest stars, and what to expect.

Project Runway Season 21: Premiere Date & Judges

Season 21 of Project Runway will premiere on Freeform on July 31, 2025, at 9 pm Edt. This will be a two-episode premiere, which will later be available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu.

RuPaul’s Drag Race has officially entered the Project Runway workroom.

With the reveal of a new slate of competitors Wednesday, Drag Race alum Utica Queen has officially joined the cast of Project Runway season 21. On the fashion show, Utica will go by Ethan Mundt, his real name, marking the first-ever crossover between the two beloved reality TV shows.

The Freeform series revealed its batch of 12 fashion designers, including two former Project Runway contestants, season 7’s Jesus Estrada and season 19’s Caycee Black. The rest of the cast includes Alex Foxworth, Angelo Rosa, Antonio Estrada (Jesus’ twin), Belania Daley, Joan Madison, Joseph McRae, Madeline Malenfant, Veejay Floresca and Yuchen Han.

Mundt said of his pivot to Project Runway, “Walking into the Project Runway workroom felt like stepping into a dream, but even more surreal was walking in wearing something that carries the spirit of Drag with me.”

Marcus Scribner has copped a major new role: The black-ish star has joined the cast of Boston Blue, CBS’ Donnie Wahlberg-led Blue Bloods offshoot.

Per Variety, Scribner will play rookie officer Jonah Silver, the youngest member of a law enforcement family that also includes his mother, District Attorney Mae Silver (Gloria Reuben); his sister, Detective Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green); and his stepsister, Boston Police Department Superintendent Sarah Silver (Maggie Lawson). In a move that likely won’t result in any backlash whatsoever, Rihanna has recruited Johnny Depp to appear in her upcoming Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 4, Rolling Stone has confirmed.

TMZ first reported that Depp — four months removed from his defamation trial against Amber Heard — will appear during a featured “star” moment during the fashion show, which premieres on Prime Video on Nov. 9. While Depp’s appearance is reportedly a “brief cameo,” he’s the first-ever male celebrity to fill that role in a Fenty show.

Veteran documentary filmmaker and fashion photographer Douglas Keeve has signed with Buchwald for entertainment representation.

More recently, Keeve directed and executive produced Supreme Models, a six-part docuseries for YouTube and Vogue. The series is based on Marcellas Reynolds’ book Supreme Models: Iconic Black Women Who Revolutionized Fashion, as it portrays fashion trailblazers like Iman and Bethann Hardison, and fellow models Joan Smalls, Indya Moore and Precious Lee.

Also featured in the series on the official Vogue YouTube Channel is Anna Wintour, Pat Cleveland, Roshumba Williams and Veronica Webb. Keeve won an audience award at the Sundance Film Festival for Unzipped, a light-hearted documentary that followed designer Isaac Mizrahi as he prepared for his 1994 runway collection.

Celebrities flocked to famed French women’s cobbler Roger Vivier’s Spring-Summer 2023 presentation on Sept. 29 in the City of Lights. Paris Fashion Week has been in full swing since Monday, back with a sort of vengeance. Every runway seat is filled and every presentation is at capacity, with more than 100 brands showcasing in some capacity on the official calendar.

Held in the center of the city, the Roger Vivier presentation wowed from the start. As guests entered, they encountered a human-height wooden shoe sculpture — a recreation from a 1987 retrospective at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris — which stood in the entryway. TikTok star Khaby Lame is getting some high fashion shine. 

Lame, the second most-followed creator on TikTok (after Charli D'Amelio) with 130 million fans, has partnered with Hugo Boss to star in a campaign surrounding its re-brand, and will also co-design a capsule collection with the storied fashion label as part of a multi-year deal.

Lame will appear in the campaign alongside Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, model Joan Smalls, South Korean actor Lee Min-ho, raper Future, boxer Anthony Joshua, tennis pro Matteo Berrettini, and German runner Alica Schmidt, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
