Logan Sandler is an award winning writer and director, best known for his critically acclaimed debut feature film LIVE CARGO. He is a 2015 recipient of the American Film Institute's Franklin J. Schaffner Fellow Award. In 2014, Logan obtained his M.F.A. from the American Film Institute in Film Directing.
His first feature film, LIVE CARGO, stars Dree Hemingway, Keith Stanfield and Robert Wisdom. LIVE CARGO took part in the U.S. in Progress Paris section of the Champs- Élysées Film Festival and was one of 10 feature films selected by IFP, to their 11th annual Independent Filmmaker Lab of 2015. The film had it's World Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in the U.S. Narrative Competition. Since then it has screened at the Torino Film Festival, AFI FEST, the São Paulo International Film Festival and the Warsaw Film Festival. The film was released theatrically and digitally in the Spring of 2017 through distributor Gunpowder & Sky, formerly known as Film Buff. Upon the film's theatrical release Village Voice critic Chuck Wilson wrote, "Sandler is a filmmaker to watch."
Sandler began his filmmaking career by producing and directing short films, including ALL IT WILL EVER BE, which premiered at the Bermuda International Film Festival in 2012. Sandler's second short film TRACKS, screened at various festival around the world, including AFI FEST, Marfa Film Festival, Cambridge Film Festival, and the Miami International Film Festival. The film recently won the Lexus Audience Award for Best Short film at the Miami International Film Festival and best actor for Keith Stanfield at the 24 FPS International Film Festival. Sandler has collaborated with Stanfield on music videos, co-directing the group MOORS' single GAS. The music video premiered on Vice's music channel Noisey. Sandler has also collaborated with famed singer Kid Ink creating a music video promo for his album Full Speed.
Logan is represented by Joanne Wiles of ICM Partners and Frank Frattaroli and Susan Solomon at Circle of Confusion. Logan has multiple projects in various phases of developments.
