Carolina Lopez
From a very young age and throughout her career, the elegant and five-time nominated Carolina Lopez began establishing herself as one of Colombia's most versatile actresses in film and television, taking on diverse roles ranging from drama to action to comedy.

At the age of 19, Carolina bravely left her hometown of Medellin for the bustling capital of Bogota with just $200 in her pocket and a burning desire for super-stardom. Despite facing countless obstacles, her hard work and unwavering commitment paid off, eventually starring in the soap opera La Teacher de Inglés (2011) (2011) as Catalina Ortega. She later earned a role alongside Cannes Film Festival award winner Carmen Maura - an actress she deeply admired - in the film Sofía y el Terco (2012) (2012), directed by Andrés Burgos. Carolina soon gained the admiration and respect of Colombian tabloids as Daniela Cirila in the primetime series ¿Donde carajos está Umaña? (2012) (2013), directed by Diego Trujillo, which won 4 awards at her country's most prestigious audiovisual awards ceremony, Premios India Catalina, and for which she earned the nomination of Best Actress by Caracol Television.

Not wanting to be typecast by her previous classier roles, she went on to play the polemical Liliana Rojas in Lady, La Vendedora de Rosas (2015) (2015), which earned her 2 national nominations from the Premios India Catalina and TV y Novelas as Best Supporting Actress and resulted in millions of viral impersonations that continue to this day.

Returning to a more elegant role, Carolina played Alejandrina Valecilla in Azúcar (2016) (2016), which was the second-most watched Spanish language program in Miami in 2016 on MundoMax, playing a character from 1950s Colombia, evolving in the role from age 17 to 52 throughout the series. Also in 2016, the top Colombian entertainment magazine "Vea" named her "Queen of Accents" and selected her as one of the three sexiest women in the country. Another notable performance was in Amalia the Secretary (2018) (2018) which won 3 awards and 1 nomination at Colombia's Premios Macondos, directed by Andrés Burgos, with whom she worked earlier in her career.

Carolina broke her stereotype again with the down-to-earth street character of La Yuya in La Mamá del 10 (2018) (2018), directed by the award-winning filmmaker Andrés Marroquín. Carolina was again nominated in 2019 for Best Supporting Actress in the Premios India Catalina and TV y Novelas for the role, and the series was an international success earning a total of 12 nominations and shown in over 37 countries. Her character was so influential that she was invited onto the top Colombian Saturday night interview show "The Suso's Show (2009)" as a first-ever two-part episode with an interview followed by an off-script improv character skit, which is still one of the most viewed episodes.

Carolina recently played Nubia Alazate in award-winning director Dago García's feature film El Actor, el Director y la Guionista (2023) (2023) which was pre-nominated by the 2024 edition of Platino Ibero-American Film and Audiovisual Awards for Best Fiction Comedy film.

Acting in over 25 film and TV roles, Carolina has won the hearts of Colombians and viewers around the world with her ability to dignify every role she has played, enlightening each with passion and humanity. Now based in Los Angeles, Carolina is focused on expanding her career in Hollywood.
