Josh Pafchek is an American actor, writer, and director best known for his role as Shuggie, a lovable dumbbell opposite Chris Evans in Ethan Coen's Honey Don't!, which premiered at the 78th Cannes Film Festival and hits theaters August 22. His television work includes The Rookie, Love, Victor, Shooter, The Middle, and others.
Born in Plainfield, New Jersey and raised in Georgia and Pennsylvania, Pafchek started making videos at age 11 - filming skate and prank content with friends. After high school, a Google search - "how to become an actor" - led him to Barbizon Acting and Modeling School. He went on to study Theatre Arts at Bloomsburg and Temple University before moving to Los Angeles through a film program. After signing with a manager, he left school to pursue acting full time.
His first audition landed him the lead in the indie feature Natural Rejection, launching his professional acting career. Alongside his work in front of the camera, Pafchek has continued writing and directing original films, sketches, and shorts - with a focus on character-driven stories across genres.
