Kanti's work as playwright and director has been produced by British Council, National Theatre Studio, Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, National Theatre Scotland, HOME Manchester and Theatre Royal Plymouth. He was awarded Best Director at Thespo Theatre Festival X, Mumbai and performed lead roles in two feature films: Tasher Desh-The Land of Cards (dir: Q/2012/Netflix) and Madly Bangali (dir: Anjan Dutt/2010/Amazon Prime). Kanti completed his Master's as Inlaks scholar at Royal College of Art London and returned to India in 2016 to write and produce a feature film Cat Sticks (MUBI) which premiered with a Grand Jury prize at Slamdance Film Festival 2019. He then wrote and directed a short The Daughter (JIO Cinema) starring Naseeruddin Shah which premiered at MAMI Mumbai and Palm Springs International Film Festival 2022.
Aside from film & theatre, Kanti founded and ran a nightclub at The Yard Theatre in East London (2013 - 2016). Recently his studio Field designed a 2690 mt2 house in North Goa (2024) being represented by Sotheby's.
