Shauna La

Shauna La is an ex-RF engineer turned artist who lives in San Diego,
CA. Born on April 2, 1983 in Hattiesburg, MS, she was raised in
Columbia, MS where she was an avid competitive computer programmer and
alto saxophone player until her sophomore year at Columbia High School.
She finished high school at the Mississippi School for Mathematics and
Science(2001) and moved to Baton Rouge where she worked as a
WebCT/Publications editor for LSU. She then moved to Chicago and
attended Columbia College where she studied art and acting. Afterwards,
she moved to New Orleans and began working as an RF engineer, and
traveled the country from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to Junuea,
Alaska while optimizing major mobile networks. After years of painting
in her hotel rooms, she decided to quit RF and pursue her artistic
dreams, she began painting and exhibiting her art in San Diego and even
studied with Academy of Art University, San Francisco. She was asked to
work on the film Distances in late 2009 by the writer and director
Brandon Marshall. She accepted the role, and it was filmed in the
spring of 2010 in Austin, TX.
