Nick D'Benedetto was born and raised in San Diego, California. Amid his
passion for music and the high school marching band, Nick found a
desire to cultivate his creative juices by creating his own films.
Since his first home made movie, Nick has been making shorts with his friends throughout high school and college. Wanting to pursue a Film Degree, he first attended Cal State Long Beach, the first two years of his college education. In the second year at CSULB he applied to NYU Tisch School of the Arts, a top tiered film school where he was accepted based on his past work. He has worked on many projects from the lowest digital camera, to his own Super 16mm school projects and continues to work towards his dream of being an industry professional. He has written, directed, acted, edited, sound mixed, casted and produced over 30 of his own and fellow student and friend's projects along with Internships at Broadway Video (NBC's TV Spot Post House) and at Paladino Casting (Casting Agency), Darren Star Productions (Producer's Assistant), HD Films, Victory Studios (The Morning After on Hulu), and The Uprising (Production Company).
Nick is currently working on finishing his senior thesis film with the intention of submitting it to festivals across America. He currently resides in Los Angeles, freelancing and interning on various sets and companies.
