Clive Barker
Night of the Zoopocalypse: animated comedy inspired by a concept from Clive Barker gets an April VOD release
Clive Barker
Best-selling genre author Clive Barker has brought us the horrors of Rawhead Rex, Hellraiser, Nightbreed, Candyman, Lord of Illusions, The Midnight Meat Train, Dread, and Books of Blood, among other things – and his latest project is the animated comedy Night of the Zoopocalypse. The film was given a wide theatrical release earlier this month (you can read a 7/10 review from JoBlo’s own Tyler Nichols at This Link), but it hasn’t exactly set the box office on fire, drawing in just $2 million. More viewers are likely to catch it when they can watch it in the comfort of their own homes – and they’ll have the chance to do that when the movie is given a Premium VOD release, courtesy of Viva Kids, on April 4th!

Night of the Zoopocalypse will be available to buy for $14.99 and rent for $6.99 from participating digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV,...

Animated Zombie Comedy 'Night of the Zoopocalypse' Official Trailers
Image
"Monsters have overrun the zoo..." Viva Pictures is releasing a fun animated comedy movie called Night of the Zoopocalypse in theaters this weekend (starting March 7th). This flick premiered at the 2024 Sitges Film Festival in Spain (where I also saw it) last year. It's "from the mind of Clive Barker" but it's actually a "horror" movie for kids - it's very tame and really all about how these animals save their zoo from monsters. It's good! Bring your kids and have an amusing time at the cinema. A wolf and mountain lion team up when a meteor unleashes a virus turning zoo animals into zombies. They join forces with other survivors to rescue the zoo and stop the deranged mutant leader from spreading the virus. It's a horror movie made for kids (rated PG!), about zoo animals who have to save the day and stop a zombie virus from taking over.

'Hellraiser' Creator Returns With a Wildly Unexpected New Horror Movie
Image
Clive Barker is back at it again, except this time it's for the kids. Shocking, right? The creator of the sexual and gory series, Hellraiser, is about to bring his horror expertise to the world of PG animation. A teaser trailer for the upcoming film Night of the Zoopocalypse was released in November 2024, leaving audiences craving more. With National Popcorn Day is right around the corner (January 19), the animated PG horror film has released a popcorn-centered clip and a new poster.

The animated clip shows off the wacky cast of characters, voiced by star actors David Harbour of Stranger Things fame, Scott Thompson from The Kids in the Hall, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee from The Mandalorian, and Gabbi Kosmidis of Netflix's Unicorn Academy. Centered around popcorn, of course, the clip offers a sneak peek into the wild world of the talking zoo animals. The children's film is inspired by a...

Night of the Zoopocalypse trailer: animated comedy is inspired by a concept from Clive Barker

Best-selling genre author Clive Barker has brought us the horrors of Rawhead Rex, Hellraiser, Nightbreed, Candyman, Lord of Illusions, The Midnight Meat Train, Dread, and Books of Blood, among other things – and now he’s bringing us the animated comedy Night of the Zoopocalypse. A trailer for the film, which is set to reach theatres on March 7, 2025, can be seen in the embed above.

Barker provided the concept for Night of the Zoopocalypse, and the idea was then fleshed out into a screenplay by Steven Hoban and James Kee. Directed by Ricardo Curtis and Rodrigo Perez-Castro, the movie has the following synopsis: One night, a meteor crashes into Colepepper Zoo unleashing a virus that transforms the animals into strange and hilarious slobbering zombie mutants. Gracie, a young quirky wolf, teams up with a gruff and fearsome mountain lion to find a way back to her pack. As the zoo is overrun,...

Brilliant Fallout Theory Suggests The Shows Brotherhood Of Steel Descended From Another Game Faction
Image
Spoilers are ahead for Fallout season 1's ending.

In Fallout season 1, viewers are introduced to the iconic Brotherhood of Steel faction, but the show's chapter seems a little different from other iterations. Maximus' interaction with the Brotherhood hints at a possible connection with Caesar's Legion, setting up intriguing possibilities for season 2. With Fallout season 2 heading to New Vegas, it makes sense for the series to bring in Caesar's Legion and the reveal that the Brotherhood of Steel conquered the Legion and took on its beliefs would be even better.

From mutants to ghouls, Fallout season 1 introduces viewers to all sorts of Wastelanders, including those who find purpose within one of Fallout's many factions. These groups, which are organized around particular values and ideologies, provide some measure of order in the lawless, post-apocalyptic Wasteland. In fact, main character Maximus (Aaron Moten) belongs to the franchise's most recognizable faction. The Brotherhood of Steel,...

Taylor Swift fans convinced NFL announcement hints singer will perform at Super Bowl halftime show
Image
The US National Football League’s new sponsorship announcement has Taylor Swift fans convinced the singer will be performing at the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show on 12 February.

Back in May, Pepsi announced it would be ending its longstanding partnership with the league and its halftime show.

At midnight on Friday (23 September), the NFL’s official Twitter account formally revealed Apple Music as its new sponsor by retweeting Apple Music’s post, captioned, “See you in February”.

It was accompanied by a promotional video displaying the message, “Halftime” and “Super Bowl Lvii”.

While the tweet itself made no mention of the “All Too Well” singer’s name or any direct hints at who the performer could be, Swifties believe the 12am release was intentional, with her newest album – which releases on 21 October – titled Midnights.

“The NFL announcing Apple Music as the sponsor of the Super Bowl halftime show at Midnight,” The...
