During its theatrical run, Heretic took home $58 million at the worldwide box office against a reported budget of $10 million. The film received tons of praise from critics upon release, earning a 91% Rotten Tomatoes score, while Grant earned some awards recognition for his performances as the villainous Mr. Reed. Grant was nominated at the BAFTA Awards, Critics' Choice Awards, and Golden Globes for his performance.

The Hugh Grant-led horror flick, Heretic, officially lands on Max on March 7. The official synopsis for the film reads: "Two young missionaries are forced to prove their faith when they knock on the wrong door and are greeted by a diabolical Mr. Reed (Grant), becoming ensnared in his deadly game of cat-and-mouse." In addition to Grant, Heretic stars Sophie Thatcher (Companion), Chloe East (The Fabelmans), Topher Grace (Spider-Man 3), and Elle Young (Little Fish). Heretic was written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, best known for the Adam Driver-led film, 65, and as screenwriters of A Quiet Place.

The writer-director duos film is a wildly engaging cat-and-mouse hunt between Grants Mr. Reed and Sister Barnes (Sophie Thatcher) and Sister Paxton (Chloe East), missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
