Shibu Sable(I)

Shibu Sable a.k.a Shivadarshan Sable started his career in 2005 by assisting Nishikant Kamat on the critically acclaimed film Dombivali Fast. In 2009, Shibu made his directorial debut with the Marathi film, Canvas, a psychological thriller that was lauded for its background score, sound design, and unique storyline. In 2009, Shibu wrote and directed the hit commercial comedy Marathi film Ajab Lagnachi Gajab Gosht which is streaming on Zee5. In 2018, under his banner Magic Hour Creations, Shibu also wrote, directed, and produced Lagi Toh Chhagi which was a Marathi crime comedy set in Mumbai and Goa. Shibu's short film debut Special Dish, which was directed and produced by him, bagged various awards including Best Film and Best Direction at the Pune Short Film Festival and was selected to be screened in Berlin at the Indo-German Film Week.

Along with his co-writer, Jaidev Hemmady, Shibu has written multiple short films and series. Their short film Saturday Nights was picked up by Pocket Films and is also available on Amazon Prime (US and UK). Their latest short film Mishti Doi has bagged the Best Short Film award at the Global India International Film Festival 2020 and is also available on Disney+ Hotstar. Monya, a short film co-written by them and directed by Shibu, bagged awards for Best Director & Best Film awards at multiple festivals across the country. Their upcoming short film Aitraaf starring Soni Razdan and Sandhya Mridul is slated to release soon.

Recently, Jaidev and Shibu co-wrote Hindi dialogues for the Voot show Cyber Vaar produced by Ding Infinity and co-wrote two feature screenplays for an independent production company. They are working closely with S. Hussain Zaidi where they developed a web series that was commissioned for BBC studios and are currently working on a military operation based series which has been put into development by a platform.
