Maiken Bryant

After being born in the UK, growing up in New Zealand, having a Danish name, a Polish mother and a Chinese brother, Maiken Bryant is a very multicultural person with a broad understanding of different people and their way of life. Maiken has always been a very creative person and decided from a young age that film was the media of which she ultimately wishes to display this creativity. While studying for her Bachelor of Spatial Design at AUT, Maiken looked for as much work on local films as possible in order to gain knowledge and experience in the growing NZ film industry. This included signing up to Background Talent which enabled her to be on set of many larger scale productions such as Samsung and Coca Cola but also to be a part of new and old NZ television series such as Shortland Street an Auckland Daze. Maiken plans to head overseas in 2014 to follow her film career around the world for a few years before heading back home to NZ (where she know she will always end up - who wouldn't!)
