Mikko Kauppila was born on October 10, 1995 in Ylöjärvi, a small city in the southwestern region of Finland.
He started acting in Finnish TV-series at the age of 15, and had taken courses at Stockholm Dramatiska Högskola on the Swedish side. After finishing the arts-oriented high school, he studied acting at University of Tampere. Then he applied for the master's degree in theatre there and graduated in 2019.
Beside his acting career in films and TV series, Mikko played roles in theatre, musical, and dance stages, and he used to take piano lessons for more than ten years, and played classical piano and got a degree in it.
His role's on stage included: Underground Diary 2017, Hevoseni Kvääri: Poem Monologue 2018, Musta Saara 2018, Searching for Lost Time 2018, Peruskiviä 2018, Siegfried 2019, The Little Mermaid 2019, Cabaret 2020, and Bolla (2021)
