Rebecca Long embarked on her producing journey at school and during her MA at King's College London and RADA where she financed & produced a theatre play, leading the writer/actor/director students to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Following a year dedicated to theatre production, Rebecca caught the attention of a prolific US producer and she became his assistant and began to learn the craft of being a film producer. Rebecca has produced music videos, award winning short films and feature films. She has also Exec Produced films and loves to combine the business side of bringing a film together: financing/finance plans/legals/supervision and management with being a creative producer collaborating with writers, directors, musicians - everyone throughout the entire process. She has 25 years experience in the industry.
Notable films that Rebecca has produced or exec produced include: 'Forget Me Not'; 'The Falling'; 'The Krays Mad Axeman' and 'Low Rider;. Rebecca has honed her skills and is really looking forward to utilising all her experience to develop a leading production company and produce work of the highest calibre that is positively impactful.
Boudica Entertainment was set up and is co founded with prolific Producer, Stella Nwimo. Stella was the first female indie film producer Rebecca met when they were both moving through the industry looking to produce feature films. Their first feature 'Low Rider' backed by the British Film Institute and part of the 2023 London Film Festival 'works in progress' will shortly be completed and will seek to be part of leading international film festivals during 2024. The company received a 2024 BBC Indie Fund Award and this will support the companies ambitions to produce TV series.
The company has a slate of Film and TV content and is implementing a strategy to build to be an international production company that makes compelling, powerful, bold films and television series that can offer fresh perspectives.
