The View welcomed Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar as the featured guest on Monday’s (February 24) live episode and discussed what her party, which is currently in the minority in every branch of the federal government, is doing — or even can do — in response to Donald Trump‘s administrative actions. When Klobuchar was asked by Ana Navarro to respond to a poll in which three-quarters of Democrats believe their representatives aren’t doing enough to resist Trump, part of the live audience reacted in strong applause, after which Navarro noted, “I guess our audience agrees!” In response, Klobuchar offered, “Well, I want you all to know that we’re on the offense right now. We are in this in a big way.” The senator then explained that party leaders like herself are working in lockstep with those Democrat attorneys general who have filed suit against the Trump administration for actions like...

We haven’t seen much of Tj since he and Molly officially split up on General Hospital. Tajh Bellow took over playing Tj in 2018, replacing fan-favorite Tequan Richmond and becoming beloved in his own right. He’s done so well that he’s gotten several accolades for his soap role, and despite the lack of story for Tj lately, Bellow has a lot to celebrate.

Bellow shared several pics on Instagram that highlighted the praise he’s been getting recently. Kendrick Lamar blew fans away with his Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday, including the hosts of “The View.” In fact, Ana Navarro is pretty sure that, after that show, Donald Trump will be signing a new executive order to ensure it never happens again.
Discussing the game as a whole on Monday, the ABC hosts ran through some of their favorite moments, with all of them praising Lamar for his performance. Surprisingly, Navarro really isn’t a fan of football, so she didn’t care much about the game.
But, as she started to give her thoughts on the halftime show, she cackled a bit.
“I think today Donald Trump is gonna sign an executive order banning Black people from halftime,” Navarro joked. “You remember, last week, we were talking about whether the NFL was capitulating to Trump by removing the term ‘End Racism’ from the end zone? Boy...

Ana Navarro is a champion of Latinos in media and praised Shakira for her acceptance speech at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
On The View, the political commentator highlighted the Latinos that won at the Grammys, like Sheila E. and Gloria Estefan. Navarro particularly commended the Colombian singer for talking about the Latino community.
“She took the chance, she took the opportunity to use her platform to defend our community that’s being targeted and profiled,” Navarro said. “More people need to lose the fear and do what Shakira did last night.”
Shakira took the stage at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and dedicated her Best Latin Pop Album category for Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran win to the immigrant community.
“I want to dedicate this award to all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country,” she said. “You are loved. You are worth it, and I will always fight with you.

Donald Trump was quick to baselessly blame diversity initiatives for the tragic plane crash that killed more than 60 people this week, and on Friday morning, the hosts of “The View” were seething about it. Host Ana Navarro even went so far as to redefine what Dei stands for under Trump.
To kick off the day’s Hot Topics, the ABC show played a clip of Trump saying that he knows Dei is to blame for the collision between the American Airlines flights and a Blackhawk chopper, because he has “common sense.”
The comment earned booing from the “View” audience, and even more anger from Navarro.

After the majority of The View‘s Thursday (January 30) episode was preempted by special ABC News coverage of Donald Trump’s press conference on the subject of the deadly plane and helicopter crash in Washington, D.C., Ana Navarro reacted to the contents of his address in a new “Behind the Table” segment with executive producer Brian Teta. Navarro was positively incensed over what Trump said at the podium, including blaming diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives (called Dei) for the fatal aircraft collision and citing only “common sense” as evidence of that. “I am so angry right now. I am so angry with the people that — I’m not angry with Donald Trump, because this is who Donald Trump is. He is heartless. He is soulless. He blames things without having any evidence. He is irresponsible,” Navarro said in a scathing rebuke. “It is incredibly irresponsible for him to go...

Following an onstage fight that apparently broke up Jane’s Addiction, three of the four members are making new music together. Bassist Eric Avery, guitarist Dave Navarro, and drummer Stephen Perkins are recording new songs minus singer Perry Farrell.
Back in September, Jane’s Addiction made headlines when Farrell got into a physical altercation with Navarro during a show in Boston, at one point punching the guitarist onstage. As the two musicians were being separated, it appeared that Avery landed a few blows on Farrell. And a later report from a crew member revealed that Farrell punched Navarro again — this time in the face — backstage shortly thereafter.
The rest of the band’s tour was canceled, and while an official announcement was never made, Navarro suggested that the band had broken up in an Instagram post, saying, “I’m gutted that things ended this way.”

2024 has been a stellar year for horror movies. A wide variety of major studio and independent horror movies hit theaters this year, and while not all of them were winners, there were some incredible standouts. From Navarro’s chestburster in Alien: Romulus to Monstro Elisasue’s on-stage degradation in The Substance, the horror movies of 2024 were bursting at the seams with blood and gore. This has been a really terrific year for horror films. I Saw the TV Glow dealt with poignant social themes, A Quiet Place: Day One offered a surprisingly character-driven perspective of the apocalypse, and Trap saw M. Night Shyamalan at his Shyamalan-iest (for better or worse).
And 2024 didn’t just deliver great horror movies; it delivered blood-drenched horror movies. Longlegs has a scene where the eponymous serial killer paints a police interrogation room with his own blood. Under Paris has a scene where a triathlon’s worth of swimmers are served up to a hungry shark. This year’s horror films offered some extremely gory sequences.

Hollywood has made no secret of its reliance on big franchises and sequels throughout the last two decades, from sprawling sagas like the MCU to newcomer film series like John Wick. The 2020s have seen the film industry embrace sequels at an unprecedented scale, dusting off old franchises from the 1980s to cash in on audience nostalgia. While some of these sequels disappointed audiences, others appealed to them by honoring the best of what their franchise has to offer.
Sequels can come in a range of forms, from conclusions to trilogies to long-awaited returns to Hollywood classics. While the 2010s saw a great many remakes and reboots, studios turned back to direct sequels during the 2020s, from family movies to epic blockbusters. Not every sequel impresses the audience, but some gave them exactly what they wanted, leaving them wanting even more from the franchise.

The co-hosts of The View have strongly criticized the wave of online jokes and celebratory remarks following the tragic murder of UnitedHealth CEO Brian Thompson in New York City.
The incident, which occurred as Thompson was en route to an investor event, has sparked intense discussions about the healthcare industry and public frustration with its perceived shortcomings. Despite being one of the scariest components of the original movies, the facehuggers in Alien: Romulus proved to be one of its more disappointing elements. The 2024 movie serves as a midquel between Ridley Scott and James Cameron's first two installments, following a group of space colonists looking to escape a Weyland-Yutani work planet and head to the titular space station to salvage cryopods and travel to a new planet, only to inadvertently unleash a whole host of xenomorphs and facehuggers.
Co-written and directed by Fede Álvarez, the same mind behind 2013's Evil Dead reboot-quel, Alien: Romulus quickly became a critical and commercial hit, with many hailing it to be the best since the first two. Even so, while Alien: Romulus found creative ways to better connect the timeline between Scott's prequels and the originals, one element that ultimately should've been the easiest to recreate in terrifying fashion became one of its least.

The first segment of “The View” on Monday ended in a heated clash between Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro, as the ABC hosts debated just how panicked people should be about Donald Trump’s second term.
The discussion started as the women broke down the president-elect’s weekend appearance on “Meet the Press,” where he made more threats against various institutions and people he dislikes, specifically saying that the Jan. 6 investigative committee should be thrown in jail.
When pressed on whether he’d specifically direct his choice to lead the FBI to send them to jail, though, Trump said he wouldn’t.
“He’s telling them to do it through ‘Meet the Press,’ if he hasn’t done it in private already,” Navarro argued. “And he’s appointing people who are 100% loyal to him, and who know that if they want to keep their jobs, they have to do what he wants them to do.

They call it “Hot Topics” for a reason: Sometimes The View‘s cohosts get truly fired up during the discussions. That was certainly the case on Monday’s (December 9) episode, when things devolved into a bit of a screaming match between Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro. The conversation began with a calmer discussion of Donald Trump’s interview on Meet the Press, in which he talked about him likely pardoning people who were convicted of crimes related to the January 6th insurrection and believing that members of the congressional committee investigating it — including Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney — should be jailed instead. “First of all, thank God for Liz Cheney,” Navarro said of the news. “She’s not stalking to Mar-a-Lago to kiss the ring. She’s not going into deep hiding and in silence. She’s not changing her tune all of a sudden. She’s sticking by her guns.

A line of dialogue in Alien: Romulus has split opinion for months now. Here’s why it might be slightly less incongruous than it first sounds.
Nb: The following contains a spoiler or two for Alien: Romulus.
Director Fede Álvarez’s unabashed affection for the Alien franchise is evident in every frame of Alien: Romulus, first released in August. About a group of scruffy youngsters prowling an abandoned Weyland Yutani station and finding something particularly monstrous in the process, it was filled to the brim with story connections, stylistic cues and call-backs to the series’ first two movies.
One line of dialogue in particular appeared to split opinion somewhat, however. You probably know the one we’re talking about already: David Jonsson’s synthetic, Andy, dramatically takes out a xenomorph with a blast of a pulse rifle and utters the immortal line, “Get away from her… you bitch.”

Days after discussing the notion of President Joe Biden possibly reversing course and pardoning his son, Hunter Biden, before leaving office, The View cohosts had even more to say about the subject once it actually happened. On Monday’s (December 2) first post-Thanksgiving episode, four cohosts — Whoopi Goldberg, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin — were on hand to discuss the Potus’s pardon, which went against his own prior promises. While Hostin and Navarro were overwhelmingly in favor of it, and Goldberg was ambivalent but understanding of the decision, Griffin was categorically against Biden’s decision, and the conversation became a bit tense between them before the end. “Listen, I get it. I mean, we got to convict a felon as president,” Goldberg said first. “I kind of feel like I look at the list of folks that You Know Who pardoned during the first term: He granted 237 acts of clemency,...

Although Eva Longoria has relocated outside the United States, she didn’t make her decision based on any one politician.
The Golden Globe nominee, who mostly splits her time between Spain and Mexico City with her family, clarified that she didn’t leave the country because of Donald Trump being re-elected as president.
“Will you please let them know I didn’t move out of the United States because of Trump? … I’ve been in Europe for almost three years,” she explained to The View co-host Ana Navarro as she called into the Behind the Table podcast.
Longoria noted that her work has taken her abroad, having previously filmed her Apple TV+ series Land of Women in Spain, as well as the upcoming CNN series Eva Longoria: Searching for Spain. “That’s why I’m in Europe. I didn’t leave because of the political environment,” she added. “I left...

The Alien: Romulus streaming release date has been revealed. The 2024 release, which was directed by Fede lvarez and stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, and Isabela Merced, is the ninth installment in the franchise and follows a crew attempting to steal cryostasis equipment from a supposedly abandoned space station who find themselves face to face with the deadly Xenomorph. In theaters, Romulus became the second highest grossing Alien movie behind 2012's Prometheus by earning $350.8 million against its $80 million budget.
20th Century Studios has shared a new trailer announcing that Alien: Romulus will debut on Hulu on November 21. This date comes more than three full months after the movie's premiere in theaters in August. The release is surprisingly soon, though the streaming platform is not a surprise, as the movie is a 20th Century Studios production that was originally developed as a Hulu exclusive release like its fellow sci-fi franchise...

The hosts of “The View” have been longtime critics of Donald Trump, but on Wednesday morning, they were still “optimistic” about the country even under his second term — albeit “profoundly disturbed.”
To kick off the first post-election episode, the ABC hosts came dancing onto stage, seemingly in good spirits. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg even joked with the table and audience, asking if anyone did anything interesting yesterday.
Of course, she quickly dropped the joke and went straight to her co-hosts for their reactions on a convicted felon getting re-elected. First up was Joy Behar, who was arguably the most stressed of the group before the election, yet unexpectedly hopeful.
.@JoyVBehar: "My takeaway is that the system worked. We live in a democracy. People spoke. This is what people wanted. I vehemently disagree with the decision Americans made, but I feel very, very hopeful that we have a democratic system in this country.

Update, with full video added: The View cohosts – all of whom, including Republican Alyssa Farah Griffin, supported Kamala Harris for president – reacted today with varying degrees of anger, disappointment and optimism to the victory of Donald Trump.
“So, what happened last night?,” joked moderator Whoopi Goldberg to kick off the Hot Topics discussion. “Anybody do anything interesting?”
Watch the discussion above. Here’s a rundown of edited and condensed comments from the cohosts:

The hosts of ABC’s The View were quite rational when post morteming former President Donald Tump’s election win.
As of Wednesday at 11 am Et, Republican candidate Trump is thus far projected to claim 276 electoral votes to Democratic nominee/Vice President Kamala Harris’ 223. Trump also looks to emerge with an edge in the popular vote — by smaller margins than President Joe Biden in 2020, but still, a feat no Republican presidential candidate has managed in 20 years.

“The View” hosts — Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, Joy Behar and Alyssa Farah Griffin — came together on the Nov. 6 episode of the ABC talk show to react to Donald Trump’s victory over Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. All six women voted for Harris, even outspoken Republican and former Trump aide Griffin.
“So what happened last night?” Goldberg asked her co-hosts while never uttering Trump’s name. She later telling them: “He’s the president. I’m still not going to say his name. That’s not going to change.”
“I’m profoundly disturbed,” Hostin said about the election results. “If you look at The New York Times this morning, the headline was ‘America Makes a Perilous Choice.’ I think in 2016 we didn’t know what we would get from a Trump administration. We know now. We know now he will have almost unfettered power. I worry not about myself actually.

Before playing a centuries-old Sicilian witch on “Agatha All Along,” Patti LuPone knew she might actually be a Sicilian witch. So did the show’s creator, Jac Schaeffer. But “The View” host Ana Navarro was a bit spooked by that idea on Friday morning.
Stopping by the ABC talk show in support of her current Broadway show, LuPone was asked what drew her to the character of Lilia Calderu, and her story. The actress noted that she was in pretty much from the initial pitch, particularly because Lilia was a divination witch.
“I think I am a Sicilian witch because I have pre-cognizance. And I’ve had it all of my life,” LuPone explained. “I’ve known that something’s going to happen before it happens, and I’ve always wanted to check into the Duke Institute of Parapsychology to really understand what this is, because it’s becoming more acute as I get older.

Warning! This post contains Spoilers for Alien: Romulus
Alien: Romulus is the latest chapter in Fox's beloved Alien franchise, featuring a collection of incredibly scary moments with one of cinema's most terrifying alien specimens. Set between the first and second Alien movies, Fede lvarez's Romulus was very well received, possessing a strong blend of nostalgia while also exploring some new ideas in the Alien universe. It also generates some very satisfying moments of pure terror and suspense.
In Alien: Romulus, a crew of young disenfranchised miners are tired of endlessly working for the Weyland-Yutani corporation. This motivates them to raid a derelict research station in orbit for its cryogenic pods which will allow them to travel to a brand-new colony world. However, they come to realize all too late that the station was attacked by a recovered XX121 Xenomorph which quickly grew into an entire horde of the classic sci-fi monsters.

Udpate, with additional video: No costumes, but The View didn’t ignore Halloween this year, opening the show with a pre-taped dream sketch in which each of the hosts, bored to tears at a morning staff meeting as producer Brian Teta drones on and on about his podcast, dozes off and has a Trump-inspired nightmare.
Watch the video above.
For Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin, a shared nightmare had them running through the streets of Manhattan during a Purge-like event, as Trump’s voice speaks of the benefits of “one real, rough nasty day.” Finally, the cohosts come up with the concept of a plan for escape.
Next up was Ana Navarro, lounging on a cruise ship reading Ricky Martin’s memoir when suddenly she’s forced to choose between sharks and electrocution, one of Trump’s weirder fantasy scenarios. “I’m not even on the show today,” Navarro gripes.

Jon Stewart offered up a defense of Tony Hinchcliffe following the latter’s controversial comments at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday.
The Daily Show host began a segment of his 18-minute opening monologue by highlighting the speakers at the rally, who included Tucker Carlson and Rudy Giuliani, before transitioning to address Hinchcliffe’s stand-up set, which notably included referring to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.”
“Obviously, in retrospect, having a roast comedian come to a political rally a week before Election Day and roasting a key demographic, probably not the best decision by the campaign politically. But to be fair, the guy’s just really doing what he does,” Stewart said of the comedian.
The host then played clips of Hinchcliffe’s Tom Brady roast on Netflix, in which he stood out as one of the more memorable performers.

Warning: this article contains spoilers for Alien: RomulusAlien: Romulus has been one of the most successful horror movies of the past year, taking aspects from both the original Alien movies and the more recent prequel films to create a project that serves as a more solid bridge between the old and the new. Alien: Romulus has been reviewed quite well, hitting with both critics and audiences, on top of becoming the second highest-grossing film in the Alien franchise. The film is a certified hit, and has been seen as a return to form for the franchise after the divisiveness of the two prequel films.
One of the main points of discussion about the Alien films is naturally how they handle the titular alien creatures. From the classic Xenomorphs like facehuggers and chestbursters, to new additions in Romulus like the Offspring, the franchise is most well known for its excellent creature designs,...

Alien: Romulus is set on a spaceship called the Renaissance that is split into two halves, one lending its name to the film's title and the other named Remus. Regarding the ranking of the Alien movies, Alien: Romulus was deemed a return to form after the negatively received Alien 3 and Alien: Resurrection, and the divisive prequels, Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, crafted by Ridley Scott. One of the reasons for this was Alien: Romulus' decision to tie to most past entries, slotting seamlessly into the expansive Alien movie timeline.
By the time of Alien: Romulus' ending, this became clear. Not only did the film exhibit a return to the more claustrophobic, people vs. aliens vibe of the first two movies, but it also included the wider, more intriguing lore elements of Scott's prequels. Interestingly, Alien: Romulus wisely split between these two tones using the ship on which it is based,...

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was, once again, the featured guest on Friday’s (October 25) episode of The View, and things got mighty testy between himself and cohost Ana Navarro over the state of the election. Christie, a Republican and former ally of Donald Trump who was reportedly second in line for his first vice presidential nominee in 2016, weighed in on what he thinks Kamala Harris needs to do to win over undecided voters. He earned the ire of Navarro after saying that certain damaging stories about Trump — like his own former chief of staff saying he’s a fascist — just aren’t moving the needle. “Bottom line is I’m not here to be a cheerleader for her,” Christie said. “I’m here to say, based on what I have learned in politics over time, what she needs to do to close the deal.” “Republicans who are having...

Donald Trump loves music. It does not love him back. But neither fact has ever been more obvious than this week, when he made his DJ debut. Warning: Spoilers ahead for Teacup episodes 1-4!
Peacock's new Stephen King-endorsed horror television series Teacup has unfolded a mystery at breakneck speed, and introduced far more questions than answers by the end of episode 4. The basic premise of the show was established by the end of Teacup episode 2, while episodes 3 and 4 introduced some new players into the isolated farm setting, each with questionable intent. So far Teacup has built tension with distrust and paranoia, both due to the invisible threat beyond the blue line and due to the pre-existing relationships between the neighbors trapped on the Chenoweth farm in Georgia.
Episodes 3 and 4 of Teacup saw Meryl and Nicholas become more familiar with the entity that inhabits Arlo's mind, known as "Harbinger" due to his constant warnings. Harbinger might have introduced a way for everyone trapped on the Chenoweth farm to cross the blue line safely, but its dangerous...
Peacock's new Stephen King-endorsed horror television series Teacup has unfolded a mystery at breakneck speed, and introduced far more questions than answers by the end of episode 4. If you missed Friday’s episode of “The View,” then you missed Ana Navarro asking Joy Behar, almost point blank, if she has ever cheated on her husband.
The hosts were talking about the new Martha Stewart documentary on Netflix, in which the pop culture icon up and admits to cheating on her ex-husband Andrew Stewart for decades. It was a revelation Behar was surprised to learn after the fact.
“I say she got away with it because men are so clueless and egotistical they think no one would ever cheat on me,” she said. “So a woman can keep it a secret better than a man. That’s my opinion.”
Navarro took that line and threw subtlety out the window. “Is it your opinion or your experience?” she asked with a smile.
The comment earned laughs and gasps from the crowd before the other hosts went around the horn...

Donald Trump once again took aim at “The View” this week, this time during his appearance at the annual Al Smith dinner. While on stage, he stated, “I know every one” of the hosts — but that is apparently not true and, in fact, host Ana Navarro was offended by the idea that she’d ever associate with him.
During Friday’s episode of the ABC talk show, the women had a good laugh at how bothered Trump was by them. But when Joy Behar corrected that he’s met each of the hosts except Sunny Hostin, Navarro immediately got fired up.
“Hell no!” she interjected. “He has never met me! No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I don’t know what the hell you’re reading, but I got to tell you, I’ve lived 52 years, I’ve lived 44 years in this country, I have never shaken that man’s hand,...
