With how vast asian culture and mythology is, many series have taken inspiration from these well-known stories to create beautiful, memorable tales that leave lasting impressions on the viewers.

Some notable anime that take this approach are Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away and The Tale of Princess Kaguya, but there are some that aren't as popular that are just as fascinating and beautiful, such as Mononoke and Natsume's Book of Friends.
