Born in Patterson N.J and grew up in East Orange and Montclair N.J where he attended Montclair High School with fellow actor Alex Winter.
In 1999 Eric Nyenhuis joined Ken Shamrocks Submission Academy where he fought under the Lions Den flag. Eric Nyenhuis in 2000 convinced Bob Shamrock to start a Pro Wrestling program once completed Eric Nyenhuis competed all over the world making his debut in Hawaii for Hawaii Pro Wrestling, and having his last match against John "Muscles" Marinara for Victory Pro Wrestling in Long Island NY.
Eric continued his work marketing contracted fighters with the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) and eventually landed work with sports radio host Scott Ferrel at Sirius XM in New York and making his radio debut with Jackie Martling on Jackie's Joke Land on Sirius XM.
In 2005 at the urging of Veteran actor John Savage (Deer Hunter-Hair-Onion Field) Eric started his acting career with acting coaches Earnest Thomas (Whats Happening-Everyone Hates Chris) and Richard Hatch (Battlestar Gallictica) where Richard Hatch was blown away by Erics reading of The RainMaker.
Retro Radio Live. Retro Radio Live was one of the very first LIVE Podcasts in America with over 900 celebrity interviews RRL was ranked #1 on iTunes with over Four Million Listeners.
Star Trek Equinox: Eric Nyenhuis was approached to Produce a Pilot for consideration by Netflix and with very little support produced a 15 min extended trailer featuring John Savage and veteran actor Gray Lockwood.
The Warriors 2016 With help from the Original Cast and the blessing of Larry Gordon (Producer) and Walter Hill (Director-Producer-Writer) the complete reunion was documented by Rolling Stone Magazine and was awarded its first ever IMDB credit and the highest watched video to date with the company with over 30.000 Warrior fans in attendance at the historic Coney Island NY.
Eric Nyenhuis made his Directorial debut with two titles Credible, and Inspired in 2018 and continues to work with Producing Partner David Gere, Executive Producer Douglas Cartelli and working with Lions Gate and Netflix.
