Biography

"Hope" is a fitting middle name for Serena Sun, and is literally translated from her native China roots. Serena Sun is known for having a diverse range that transpires to many aspects of her professional life, both on camera behind the scenes. Serena has a background in theater and is trained in many acting methods including but not limited to the Alba technique, the Alexander technique, Method acting, and Stanford Meisner. Serena enjoys comedy as much as drama, and is a champion for the human potential and the creative arts as therapeutic practices. A self proclaimed "serial creative", Serena also works as a producer, writer, and director. Outside of the film industry, Serena is an award winning musician (concert piano and voice) and has a passion for dance, horseback riding, and has her degree in psychology. An activist in the power of empathy, Serena practices what she refers to as "humanizing humans". Perhaps most notable is Serena's work in mental health advocacy, in which she runs her nonprofit organization on mental health awareness and suicide prevention, Breaking Taboo.
