Biography

Alex Michalos is an American actor who grew up in Newport News, Virginia fascinated with cinema from a very early age. When in college he took some acting and theater classes at James Madison University. This experience further enhanced his aspirations in theater. In reality though, he really learned a great deal by simply watching the movies he loved many many times. It is said he has watched Stanley Kubrick's The Shining over 300 times. He was heavily influenced by arguably some of the best filmmakers in cinema and he names Stanley Kubrick, Quentin Tarantino and Martin Scorsese, as some of his most favorite. He got his start in front of the camera in TV commercials, pilots and infomercials. As time passed he started picking up lead roles in independent horror and psychological thrillers. This is where he started honing his craft. He is known as a method actor immersing himself deeply into all of his roles. He now resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
