Tazito Garcia was signed on for the role of Sgt. Nikolai during early production stages of Bollywood blockbuster film Shivaay. Due to unexpected climate changes in the original filming locations in Calgary, Alberta - Filming went into a one year hiatus and a change in filming locations and schedules resulted in the recasting of the character with Markus Ertelt.

The Toronto based actor began acting when he was young, appearing in many TV commercials and his first theatrical role as "Anubis" in King Tut (1995).
