Michael Jai White’s Action Thriller 'As Good as Dead' Finds Success on Prime Video

A divisive action thriller is now climbing its way up the Prime Video charts three years after it was first released. Starring action movie icon Michael Jai White, best known for the likes of The Dark Knight and Spawn, As Good As Dead has now found its way at #6 in the top 10 movies on the Amazon streaming platform as audiences and action fans tune in to watch the action movie superstar once again demonstrate why he is one of the best martial arts actors in the business.

Directed by R. Ellis Frazier and written by Michael Jai White himself, As Good as Dead stars Inception and Sniper star Tom Berenger alongside White, with the rest of the cast comprised of Louis Mandylor, Gillian White, Michael Copon, Gabriela Quezada Bloomgarden, Luca Oriel, Roberto 'Sanz' Sanchez, Mauricio Mendoza, Guillermo Iván, S.E. Trailer & Poster for post-apocalyptic actioner ‘Scavenger’

Rubén Arnaiz, director and screenwriter of Bad Weed which we reviewed recently, has released the trailer and poster for his next film – currently in post-production – entitled Scavenger, an action adventure story with touches of fantasy starring Angus Her, Doua Vang, Andrew Dasz, Steven Dasz and Harumi Takashima.

In a post-apocalyptic world, Reiko and Adam escape from the Walled City after stealing something from the Bouden company, which sends a group of mercenaries to catch them. His goal is to reach The Old Woman, a mysterious woman who seems to have the key to start a new future.

Produced by Rubén Arnaiz – who also writes and directs, Pablo Pabloff and Rafael Sánchez; Scavenger was filmed in Baja California in Spanish, English, Japanese and Chinese. Check out the trailer and poster below:...

"I think this one’s a lot easier," whispered 9th Circuit judge Carlos T. Bea to his colleague Andrew D. Hurwitz, comparing the unlicensed family-friendly streaming dispute between Disney and VidAngel to previous items on their calendar while the attorneys were setting up for their oral arguments on Thursday.

It's unclear whether those in the room could hear, but the statement was plainly audible in a live stream on the court's website. "I do, too," responded Hurwitz with a laugh.

St. Ann's Warehouse Begins Construction on Tobacco Warehouse
This morning, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, St. Ann's Warehouse Founder and Artistic Director Susan Feldman, St. Ann's Warehouse Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson, St. Ann's Warehouse Board Chair Joseph S. Steinberg, Brooklyn Bridge Park President Regina Myer, NYC Council Member Stephen Levin, State Senator Daniel Squadron and others broke ground at the Tobacco Warehouse in Brooklyn Bridge Park. The event signals the beginning of St. Ann's 27 million development of the historic building, originally constructed in 1861, into a 25,000 Sf performing arts center and community hub on the Brooklyn waterfront. The Tobacco Warehouse will serve as a permanent home for St. Ann's, which has activated found spaces for cultural use in downtown Brooklyn since in 1980. The non-profit organization plans to present its opening season in the Brooklyn Bridge Park warehouse in Fall 2015.

Martial arts icon Jackie Chan returns to the silver screen later this year, writing, directing, producing and starring in the action-adventure CZ12. A new trailer has surfaced for this sequel to Operation Condor, where the multi-hyphenate reprises his role as Asian Hawk, who goes on a mission to recover the bronze heads of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals.

Asian Hawk (Jackie Chan) leads a mercenary team to recover several lost artifacts from the Old Summer Palace, the bronze heads of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals which were looted by foreigners in the 1800s. Assisted by a Chinese student and a Parisian lady, Hawk stops at nothing to accomplish the mission.

CZ12 comes to theaters October 18th, 2013 and stars Jackie Chan, Oliver Platt, Caitlin Dechelle, Laura Weissbecker, Steven Dasz, Kenny G, Sang-woo Kwone, Andrew Dasz. The film is directed by Jackie Chan.

New Chinese Zodiac Posters: 12 Bronze Heads
Today we have 12 new posters for Jackie Chan‘s last action film Chinese Zodiac, part three in the Armour of God series, the second of which was released in the U.S. under the title Operation Condor.

The film stars Chan, Oliver Platt, Caitlin Dechelle. Kenny G, Steven Dasz, Andrew Dasz, Laura Weissbecker, Sang-woo Kwone, Christian Bachini, and Vincent Sze.

There’s no official U.S. release date for Chinese Zodiac, though it’s currently scheduled to open in Hong Kong on December 12th, 2012, which means if we’re lucky and/or someone thinks they can sell this to Americans, we could get it next Spring.

A new international trailer, poster and featurette have been released for Chinese Zodiac (formerly known as CZ12). Jackie Chan directing, writing, choreographing and starring in this film which is part three in the Armour of God series, the second of which was released in the U.S. under the title Operation Condor.

The series is known for mixing Indiana Jones-style adventure with his usual martial arts action, but this time around it looks like he’s pulling out all the stops.

Chan has been preparing for the film for seven years and shooting it for over a year in over ten cities in five countries. The actor called the movie “one of the most important films” of his career.

The film follows the adventures of a renowned thief/treasure hunter who’s searching for a set of ancient Chinese sculptures crafted in the likeness of the zodiac animals.
