Speaking about his role in ‘Aashram”s next season, Akash says: “I am playing the character of Rocky. The character will be more intense this time. I must say the series gave me recognition. Wherever I go people recognize me. And that’s the power of Ott platforms.”

Exclusive: Bollywood star Suniel Shetty, who has more than 100 film credits to his name, will make his debut web series with noir action thriller series Invisible Woman.

The project comes from Yoodlee Films, which has been making a name for itself in the Ott space with feature films such as the Netflix hits Axone and Chaman Bahaar. The company said it is eyeing further work in the web series space.

Invisible Woman will star Shetty alongside Esha Gupta. Tamil director Rajesh M. Selva will helm the series. It follows the story of a cop who gets a chance to clean up his past when falsely implicated for the murder of an old woman, but his path to redemption of the soul is littered with physical pain.

Mumbai, Nov 12 (Ians) Actresses Esha Gupta and Mallika Sherawat have opened up on the importance of veganism, and the need to spread awareness regarding a plant-based diet rather than kill animals for food.

"I had some tests done in 2013-2014 and found out I was highly lactose intolerant. I would always either throw up or have a bad stomach every time I had milk. So, I gave up milk, curd, and cheese," she recalled.

Esha said she completely turned vegan after watching a docu-drama highlighting the environmental impact of food habits. Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who will be seen in One Day: Justice Delivered, says the audience has evolved enough to celebrate a good story that goes beyond box office numbers.

Asked about his views on the changing business of cinema where many films that do not do good numbers in the theatres get appreciation once they are available on Ott platforms, Anupam Kher told the publication: "I think the best thing that has happened in the last couple of years... which is great for filmmakers and actors like us, is that the audience wants to watch intelligent stories. And success of all films are not defined by box office numbers."

"Since we have the digital release of films these days, we know there is content that the audience would enjoy in intimate viewing rather than community viewing. Now a group of audience is growing.

The film got delayed as the makers didn't get "Censor cuts clearances on time".

In a joint statement, producer Swati Singh and director Ashok Nanda said: "We didn't get censor cuts clearances on time so film print could not be delivered to overseas distributors."

"And we wanted worldwide release on same date. So, we moved to July 5 with the joint decision of producer, director and distributor."

Actors Anupam Kher and Archana Puran Singh, who entertained the audience with their chemistry as Mister Malhotra and Miss Braganza in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, shared an anecdote about a kissing scene they were supposed to do in their 1989 movie Ladaai.

During an upcoming episode of Sony Entertainment Television's "The Kapil Sharma Show", Archana opened up about why she refused to kiss Anupam on-screen, and how she was moved by Anupam's gesture when he convinced the film's director Deepak Shivdasani to delete that sequence, read a statement from the channel.

Archana recounted: "When we were shooting for the film Ladaai, Deepak planned a kissing sequence between me and Anupam. When I got to know this, I was nervous as I'd never done an on-screen kissing scene before.

"I called Deepak and informed him that I won't be able to do it, but then I don't know what made Deepak remove the sequence completely.

Bollywood actress Esha Gupta, who has clocked seven years in the film industry and has finished shooting her upcoming film "One Day" alongside Anupam Kher, says she felt privileged to work with the veteran talent as she took her acting training from him.

"Anupam Kher Sir is my guru because I have done my acting training from his school Actor Prepares. We all know that he is a delight as an actor, but he is also a great teacher," Esha told Ians here.

"I am so happy that I got a chance to work with him. When it comes to this film 'One Day', life has taken a full circle because I am acting opposite my guru... It is so amazing to see how even after so many films and that huge body of work, he surrenders to the director and constantly talks on how to do a scene differently.
