One of the projects that helped put Alexander Skarsgrd on the map and make him who he is today just got a major streaming update. The Legend of Tarzan, the 2016 film in which Skarsgrd stars alongside Margot Robbie, Christopher Waltz, and Rory J. Saper, has officially begun streaming on Max. The film was not well received by either critics or audiences, currently sitting at a 35% score from the former and a 58% rating from the latter on Rotten Tomatoes. In addition to Skarsgrd, Waltz, and Robbie, The Legend of Tarzan also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Casper Crump, and Ashley Byam. The film's poor reception didn't stop the Tarzan name from helping it generate major revenue at the box office, as it earned more than $350 million worldwide on a whopping $180 million budget.

The heroes of DC's Legends of Tomorrow include the likes of Firestorm, The Atom, Vixen, and John Constantine. Although the Legends may be formidable, they're not always the smartest or most capable. The villains they face are even stronger than they are and remain entirely focused on their goals.
Despite the odds consistently being against them, the Legends of Tomorrow fought and somehow defeated some of the most powerful villains in the Arrowverse. These enemies include classic DC villains like Vandal Savage and Reverse Flash, original threats like Mallus, and future Legends like Astra Louge and Nora Darhk. To the strongest villains in Legends of Tomorrow, time and space are mere playthings.
Vandal Savage Sought to Conquer Everything
Vandal Savage is played by Casper Crump. Vandal Savage is the main villain of Season 1 of Legends of Tomorrow.
Vandal Savage is the original main antagonist of Legends of Tomorrow and the archenemy of Rip Hunter.

The Legend of Tarzan may have been inspired by real-life individuals like William Charles Midlin who lived in isolation after a shipwreck. Using artistic liberties, the film highlights historical events such as Congo's enslavement, influenced by characters like George Washington Williams. Despite fictional elements like Tarzan's romantic interests, the movie succeeds in portraying how individuals can shape history by doing the right thing.
The legend of Tarzan has been told in various ways throughout the years, ranging from animated classics to a modern live-action film that sought to tackle Tarzan's afterlife as John Clayton. While the 2016 film, The Legend of Tarzan, starring Alexander Skarsgard, Margot Robbie, and Samuel L. Jackson, was incredible in terms of production values, the majority of fans were concerned about the story it presented.

Margot Robbie's success with Barbie has led to renewed interest in her older films, such as The Legend of Tarzan. Despite its initial flop at the box office, the film is now gaining popularity on Netflix thanks to Robbie's star power. While a sequel to The Legend of Tarzan is possible, Robbie's current status as a sought-after actor and producer may lead her to pursue more exciting and original projects.
The Legend of Tarzan was meant to be a bit of a prestige picture: a classic story, big-name actors, and an ample budget. But the film didn't have the legs to get it near the status its cast should have warranted. That being said, Margot Robbie may have the chance to give it another go.

The Arrowverse has had several crossovers over the years, with Crisis on Infinite Earths finally bringing all the shows together on Earth Prime. The 2015 crossover, Heroes Join Forces, is often forgotten and poorly regarded due to its connection with the unpopular series Legends of Tomorrow. Crisis on Earth-x is considered the best Arrowverse crossover, with its epic battle against Nazi doppelgangers and significant character developments.
The Arrowverse had several crossovers over the course of the years, providing a wide range of stories for its audience. The CW's shared superhero universe officially kicked off when The Flash joined the flagship series, Arrow, in 2014. The next series, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, gave a new home to the Arrowverse's many outcast heroes and villains while opening up time travel. Not every character in a television show can be a fan favorite. Some characters won't endear themselves to viewers, whether due to writing, acting, or other factors. The best case for these characters is that they're unremarkable. However, plenty of characters reach the other end of this spectrum, actively disliked by fans.

Even then, some characters do even worse. Their very presence actually drags the show down and creates problems that wouldn't be there if they left. Even if a character isn't a show's only flaw, they're one of its most prominent and easy to discuss when fans complain.

Christian Bale is set to make his McU debut in 2021’s Thor: Love and Thunder, but it seems like he won’t stop at just one cinematic universe. And that’s because sources close to Wgtc – the same ones who said Transformers is being rebooted and Kevin Conroy was playing Kingdom Come Batman in “Crisis,” both of which we now know to be true – have informed us that Warner Bros. is looking to make Bale a feature of the Dceu, too, and one role they have in mind for him is villainous immortal caveman Vandal Savage.
I’ve long been a fan of the character, who’s renowned as one of the most dangerous villains in the DC Universe. His origins begin 50,000 years ago when Savage was a caveman and a chance encounter with a mysterious meteorite granted him super-intelligence and immortality. Since then, he’s wreaked havoc throughout the centuries,...

There have been so many Tarzan movies made that it feels like it would be hard to get the story wrong. The Legend of Tarzan is a movie looking to be a blockbuster, and has the star power to do it. Why is it then that it never reaches the potential it tries so hard for?

Over the past few years, The CW schedule has become more and more occupied by hit series based on iconic DC Comics superheroes like Green Arrow, The Flash and (starting this fall), Supergirl. Even among its peers then, Legends of Tomorrow has always been an outlier.
Originally rumored to be a spinoff centering on Brandon Routh’s fan-favorite Arrow character Ray Palmer aka The Atom, the series instead rooted itself in a motley team of supporting players from both that show and The Flash. Anchored (ostensibly) by Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Legends of Tomorrow has operated as the collective melting pot for the “Arrowverse” and given the shows a venue to tell stories that wouldn’t fit in an otherwise more traditional narrative. Why then is Legends of Tomorrow not more fun to watch?

The Legends team stopped Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) at the close of season one of the freshman CW superhero drama. So where do they go next? Said executive producer Marc Guggenheim, "In many ways, the season finale of season 1 set up the new mission statement for season 2. Like Rip says at the end of the season finale, there basically are no more Time Masters. We basically have to be the Time Masters.” Another clue is the addition of Hourman (Patrick J. Adams) who appeared in the finale, asking the Legends team for help. Guggenheim has also confirmed that Hourman's appearance is a precursor for the addition of the full roster of the Justice Society of America. As such, season 2 will add Steel (Nick Zano), Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers )and the departure of Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) as series regulars. Season 2 kicks off Thursday, October 13 at 8/7c on The CW.

It seems quite fitting in the age of brooding big screen vigilantes that we’d get a Tarzan movie where Tarzan doesn’t really want to be Tarzan. Fitting, but not always thrilling.
Adam Cozad and Craig Brewer’s The Legend Of Tarzan screenplay takes something of a Deadpool approach, starting later in the story (with Alexander Skarsgård’s Tarzan now living a comfortable life in England as John Clayton, before being drawn back to the Congo after rumours of slavery arrive in his ears) but periodically flashing back to his origin tale.
But while this worked for Deadpool (thanks to the anarchic voiceover holding everything together), here it falls pretty flat, with the modern day characters stopping every now and then to stare into the middle distance and relive a very specific memory in their minds. And of course these vivid...

The Greg Berlanti-produced DC television universe is about to take a new approach to its characters, spearheaded by Wentworth Miller in his role as Captain Cold. Having first breathed life into the supervillain in the series The Flash, Miller continued his portrayal as part of the regular cast of the newer show, DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow. A shake-up was required, however, and the status of Miller’s character will change to being a ‘universe regular’, no longer tethered to a specific show.
DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow is a real comic book team-up show, with the character of Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) having seen the future, and realising that heroes alone will not be able to prevent the catastrophic events he has seen. He works to assemble a team of legends – heroic and villainous – to save the planet, and time itself. Also featuring as regular cast members are...

Vandal Savage does his best captive-Loki-on-the-Helicarrier impression in this week’s Legends Of Tomorrow...
This review contains spoilers
1.14 River Of Time
The idea of a villain being captured by the good guys before silver-tonguing his way into all of their heads, revealing his grand plan and finally escaping feels very familiar these days. Baddies in glass boxes is becoming something of a trope, and, in particular, the memory of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki incarcerated in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier during Joss Whedon’s 2012 triumph The Avengers looms large over this episode.
This could’ve worked very nicely for Legends Of Tomorrow if the writing, acting and directing was good enough to match up with or even surpass The Avengers. But, for my money, there was nothing here that even came close to that, or any of the other memorable baddies-in-boxes scenes we’ve seen before.

The Legends have finally captured Vandal Savage, but with three episodes left in the season, something is bound to go wrong and these new promotional stills shed some light on what. We also catch a our first glimpse at two returning faces, the first being Katrina Law as Nyssa al Ghul and the second being Falk Hentschel as Hawkman, although it looks like the latter might have changed teams. Check out the stills below: Captured – After numerous attempts in many different time periods, the team has successfully captured Vandal Savage (guest star Casper Crump). However, Savage tells Kendra (Ciara Renée) that he can reunite her with Carter (Falk Hentschel) so she struggles with whether she should kill him. Rip (Arthur Darvill) decides they will deliver Savage to the Time Masters which doesn’t sit well with Snart (Wentworth Miller) and Rory (Dominic Purcell). The duo decides it may be time...

Last night’s episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, “Leviathan,” delivered a sci-fi superhero epic that lived up to the precedent set by the two-part pilot and showed what the series is truly capable of. The extended promo for next week’s all new episode, “River of Time,” looks to continue that momentum with a vengeance.
With just three episodes left this season, things are definitely heating up as the team now has Vandal Savage in their custody. They had their shot at extinguishing him last night, but Hawkgirl failed to pull the trigger, so to speak, as Savage is leveraging the mental state of the latest incarnation of Hawkman as a bargaining chip. After a handful of failures this season, it is nice to see the team achieve some measure of success, although they should have expected a 4,000 year old genius to have an ace up his sleeve.

The CW has released the promo for next week’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow, and it features Rip Hunter and his team heading into action against Vandal Savage for what looks an awful lot like their final confrontation. Obviously though, with three episodes left to go after this one, there are no doubt still plenty of other twists and turns on the way.
Possibly the most intriguing thing we see in the video above is a gigantic green robot of some sort which appears to have been dispatched by Savage to take down the Legends of Tomorrow. Some fans are already speculating that this could be Chemo, a bad guy composed of an unknown combination of experimental chemicals who possesses a unique form of psuedo-life that gives him a primitive, evil intelligence. There’s a resemblance there for sure, but it’s hard to say whether these two are one and the same.

The CW has released the official descriptions for the episodes of Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow which will air during the week beginning May 2nd. Surprisingly, they feature some pretty major spoilers for what’s to come, but there will no doubt still be plenty of other twists and turns before each of these show’s respective seasons are over.
Starting with Arrow though, and there’s not much in the way of spoilers or anything of much interest to be perfectly honest. If anything, this instalment sounds a tad unexciting.

The last few weeks have been quite big for fans of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Last week's episode was their Old Man Arrow crossover, where it was revealed that Connor Hawke is actually the son of David Ramsey's Diggle. The CW's latest superhero series DC's Legends of Tomorrow has passed the halfway point of its first season, which continues with the new episode Night of the Hawk, airing Thursday, March 10 at 8 Pm Et. Much like Arrow and The Flash, the show features numerous nods to DC heroes and villains, but Television Promos has debuted a new clip from tomorrow night's episode, which teases a nod to the network's first DC series, Smallville. The clip reveals that the show's main villain, Vandal Savage (Casper Crump), has surfaced in the 1950s, where he has assumed the identity of Dr. Curtis Knox.
In the 2007 Smallville episode entitled Cure, Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman) played Curtis Knox, a villainous, immortal doctor who was originally supposed to be Vandal Savage in the episode, working under an alias. The CW has released a fun clip from the eighth episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. The clip includes a Smallville Easter egg and amusingly takes a shot at Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con.
The episode follows the heroes as they travel back in time to the 1950s to search for Vandal Savage. When they get there they find him posing as a doctor at a hospital under the name of Curtis Knox. Knox is the name of the villain in Smallville who was played by Dean Cain. He was an immortal doctor previously meant to be Vandal Savage, but the studio wouldn't let the Smallville producers use the name.
As for the Hall H jab, while taking a tour of the hospital White Canary looks down a hallway and asks what is down there. She gets the following reply:
"Oh, that's Hall H, the restricted ward. It's for Dr.
