Evelyn Jimenez was born in Castillo, Dominican Republic; she was
introduced to the art of dance and modeling at an early age. She moved
to Puerto Rico; that led her to start gaining experience as a model and
as an actress. Her exotic beauty, drawing personality and wit, were a
key to win various Beauty Pageants, including "Miss Hawaiian Tropic"
where she won first finalist. After a successful career in Puerto Rico,
the passion she has for what she does and her drive to pursue her
dreams brought her to relocate to USA. She started preparing herself by
studying English, acting and theater history. Trained for acting and
production at the prestigious, CIFALC Acting School. Her drive and
determination along with her talent allowed her to start working for
Univision and Telemundo Networks. Working for the hit reality T.V.
shows "El Principe Azul" at Telemundo and "Temptation Island Thailand"
on FOX was only the beginning for this Dominican beauty. Focusing on
her acting career, she then participated in Spanish Soap Operas such as
"Las Dos Caras de Ana" (Univision), "El Amor No Tiene Precio"
(Univision), "Rebeca" (Univision) and the series "Decisiones"
(Telemundo). Evelyn demonstrated her acting abilities when she got
casted as Jimena in the play "That Is How He Lied to Her Husband"
getting all the attention from the public this allowed her to won the
"Miami Life Awards" 'new actress of the year', on March 1st, 2008.
Determined to win the love and respect of her audience and her passion
for what she does has take her to the big screen, participating in
films such as: Follow me to die, Latina women's guide to finding a goon
men, My kitten, A broken mind, Carpe diem, Complicado corazón, Sueños
II (Film production between Ecuador and USA), Branded fate, Suicide
blogs, Sounds of hope (Second time Miami Life Awards winners, this time
as best short film lead actress), Brenda, Historias de la urbe, Con
Elizabeth en Mount Dora, Blind justice, Esperando (A short film where
she play a lesbian character) and currently she is filming 'The path of
the sun' (2015), new Jhonny Obando's feature film.
