J.C MONTES-ROLDAN is a Mexican actor of French origin, born on October 13, 1972, in Granada (Andalusia, Spain) to Spanish parents.
After a life in France (he worked as a banker for seven years while also playing a good rugby player), he emigrated to Mexico in 1999, where he began his acting career. After several theater roles, including "The Pillowman" with Alejandro Calva, Alfonso "Poncho" Herrera, and in the UNAM comedy show Carro de comedias directed by Alonso Ruizpalacios, he landed his first lead role in the feature film "DEPOSITARIOS" by Rodrigo Ordoñez, alongside Paola Nuñez, Gustavo Sanchez-Parra, and Humberto Bustos. A year later, he shared the screen with Andy Garcia, Oscar Isaac, and Catalina Sandino in " FOR GREATER GLORY : THE TRUE STORY OF CRISTIADA:" by Dean Wright. Among his most relevant roles are that of Lieutenant Fauvet in the Mexican blockbuster "Cinco de Mayo: the Battle", but also in the cinematic success "CANTINFLAS, EL REY DE LAS CARPAS" by SEBASTIAN DEL AMO with the role of Maurice, antagonist of Mickael Imperioli (THE SOPRANO'S). In 2018 he won the CRYSTAL SCREEN AWARD for BEST ACTOR for his role in the feature film "EL BUQUINISTA" by Gibran Bazan.
