Marisa Abela is an actress. She attended the Roedean School and took drama classes at the Theatre Workshop. She originally intended to study history and law at UCLA to become a civil rights lawyer, but changed her mind and decided to pursue acting instead. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2019.
She started acting in 2008 at the age of eleven - she played the role of Alice in the thriller Man in a Box (2008). Marisa Abela has been cast as legendary singer Amy Winehouse in Sam Taylor-Johnson's Back to Black (2024), a biographical drama about the artist.
