Originally from Rustenburg, South Africa, Caren moved to New Zealand at the age of 12, where she began acting in high school theatre. She started her screen career in television commercials before moving on to roles in TV series and feature films.
In 2014, she received nominations for the Graham Kennedy Award and a Logie Award for her work in Australia.
