Twisters Trailer Sets Sequel's Release Date

A sequel to 1996's Twister, Twisters stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and will be directed by Lee Isaac Chung, known for his Oscar-nominated film, Minari. Twisters follows the daughter of Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton's characters, who becomes a storm chaser and gets too close to tornadoes. The original Twister was a box office success, grossing over $495 million, and Twisters is set for release on July 19, 2024.

Serving as a sequel to Twister, the tornado movie from 1996 starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton, Twisters is set for release on July 19, 2024. When news broke that Halle Bailey had been cast as Ariel in Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid, the actress shared an image that resonated with fans.

“Dream come true…” Bailey, 19, wrote while tweeting an illustration of an Indian-American Ariel by artist Dylan Bonner.

Bonner created the image in 2015 after his friend Brian Flynn commissioned him to create a Disney princess series for his girlfriend at the time, Manini Gupta, for Valentine’s Day.

Halle Bailey couldn’t contain her excitement after it was revealed she will be playing Ariel in Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid.

The Chloe x Halle singer, 19, shared a recreated image of Ariel on Twitter by artist Dylan Bonner, whose previous projects have included illustrations of Disney princesses.

“Dream come true…,” Bailey tweeted alongside the image of Ariel singing “Part of Your World” while waves crashed behind her.

The story of the image goes back to Valentine’s Day 2015, when a man, Brian Flynn, commissioned Bonner to create illustrations of every Disney princess in the image of his girlfriend Manini Gupta.
