Jon Bessire is an award winning actor, director, and producer with 17 years of experience acting on stage and in renowned national commercials and films. He most recently played the lead role in Living Lost, as well as directed, produced, and wrote the film. The London International Film Festival of 2016 honored the film with the Best Original Screenplay of a Feature Film Award, and nominated it a total of four times.
His career in entertainment began when he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Studies from the University of Denver. He later studied at the prestigious Beverly Hills Playhouse acting school under Chick Vennera, the Broadway and television star that acted in Emmy award winning shows. His entertainment career was further cemented in 2010, when he co-founded the production company 3 Sides Entertainment with his business partner John Church. The company was founded as a platform to produce cutting-edge and thought-provoking feature films, shorts and commercials.
Jon's wanderlust and penchant for backpacking trips has led him to over 25 countries. His interest in immersing himself into foreign cultures helped inspire Living Lost (shot mostly in Guatemala) making it a true labor of love. Jon continues to collect new experiences in order to distill his next creative venture.
