Rooster Teeth’s New Comedy Competition Locks Creators In A Room For 6 Hours (Trailer)
Geoff Ramsey
Rooster Teeth is uncoincidentally debuting its latest comedy competition series on 4/20. Titled Last Laugh, the venture -- part social experiment, part game show -- will see 12 contestants trapped in a room for six hours; whoever laughs, smiles, or smirks three times is eliminated until only one creator is left standing.

The unscripted series -- which will offer a $1,000 cash prize for one winner -- comes courtesy of Funhaus, a Rooster Teeth-owned gaming and comedy channel. The series was created by longtime Funhaus member and gaming personality Elyse Willems, with Rooster Teeth co-founder Geoff Ramsey serving as host, and Rooster Teeth’s Stephanie Ard directing.

The contestants are: James Willems, Adam Kovic, Willems, Jon Smith, Lindsay Jones, Michael Jones, Alfredo Diaz, Fiona Nova, Gus Sorola, Chris Demarais, Blaine Gibson, and Jessica Vasami. Each contestant has three lives, with one life lost for every smile, snicker, or full-on giggle.

[Review] Lazer Team
The endless list of Indiegogo backers appearing towards the end of Lazer Team‘s credits make clear that the movie will not be wanting for fans, since it was they who mostly helped fund this science fiction comedy. So the question is if this film will strike a chord with audience members unfamiliar with Austin-based production company Rooster Teeth, the creative minds behind the film? In their first-feature length project, the comedic troupe, best-known for their video-game-based web series Red Vs. Blue, have created a product composed of the elements that make them a bonafide YouTube sensation: effective, low-budget visual effects, bro-ish jokes, and a self-aware love of geekdom that’s completely free of cynicism.

Lazer Team relies on the iconic “Wow! Signal” to tell the story of a group of underdogs who become the planet’s only hope for salvation. The premise establishes that the signal discovered in 1977 was...

‘Lazer Team’ hits its mark with laser accuracy
Lazer Team

Written by Burnie Burns, Chris Demarais, Joshua Flanagan & Matt Hullum

Directed by Matt Hullum

USA, 2015

We’re not a team, we’re a timebomb.

-Bruce Banner in The Avengers

Lazer Team is the story of a dimwitted group of ne’er-do-wells that stumble into the position of defenders of humanity — imagine the burnouts from Pineapple Express or the nerds from Superbad inheriting superpowers and you’re on the right track. The brainchild of the Rooster Teeth crew, Lazer Team features all the raunchy humor and cinematic hi-jinks that has endeared the brand to its wildly devoted fans over the past decade.

In Lazer Team, the American military intercepts an extra-terrestrial signal that warns them of an impending alien threat. So that humanity may stand a fighting chance, a benign alien race sends a ship carrying a suit of power to earth which provides the strength needed to defeat the invaders.

Lazer Team Review [Fantastic Fest 2015]
I’m going to dub Rooster Teeth’s Lazer Team the Anti-Pixels. Their plots are so eerily similar, but I guess that can be said about most of these “unlikely hero” arcs in science fiction. A group of friends stumble upon alien weaponry, training montages ensue, there’s an inner struggle that keeps the team at odds, an alien challenger comes to Earth for a universal pink-slip competition, and the team finally comes together in a moment of emotional triumph. The only difference? Lazer Team doesn’t totally suck like Pixels. In fact, it’s rather funny – but what else would you expect from Rooster Teeth? You’ve been watching these guys make a mockery of Halo for years, now watch them take aim at the sci-fi genre like only their brash immaturity could imagine.

So who is the Lazer Team? Just your run-of-the-mill chuckleheads who have no business saving the world.

Rooster Teeth Sets Debut Date For Second Season Of ‘Social Disorder’
Rooster Teeth has some more awkward situations lined up to entertain fans. Fullscreen’s Austin-based production studio will debut the second season of its prank experiment show Social Disorder on September 16, 2015.

Social Disorder stars Rooster Teeth employees Chris Demarais and Aaron Marquis use hidden cameras as they square off in a battle of wits to see who can make it through the most embarrassing social situations they can concoct for each other. In the first season of Social Disorder, for example, Demarais and Marquis had to enlist strangers to help them drag a body bag around town while the other prankster was inside.

Season two of Social Disorder will provide its own set of challenges for Demarais and Marquis. If the trailer is any indication, the two Rooster Teeth members will have to host a non-traditional yoga class, speak up boldly at a public town meeting, and wear pregnancy bellies...

Rooster Teeth Asks Fans To Sleuth Out A Killer In ‘Ten Little Roosters’
Rooster Teeth never ceases to appreciate and delight its fans. With that in mind, the Austin-based production shop responsible for some of the most popular web series in online video history (like Red Vs. Blue and Rwby) just released their new murder mystery series, Ten Little Roosters, on November 4, 2014. It's a whodunit tale that immediately gets the viewers involved. The first episode takes place at the First Rooster Teeth Banquet, a formal event hosted by Rooster Teeth co-founder Burnie Burns in appreciation of nine of his staff members. The night quickly turns sour when Achievement Hunter's Michael Jones accuses everyone in the room of their awkward and gruesome past crimes and threatens to turn them into the authorities. However, Jones soon falls over dead by way of a poisoned his drink, and from there on it’s all Clue-the-movie-style mystery and mayhem as the rest of the staff tries to...

Rooster Teeth’s ‘Social Disorder’ Debuts With Hidden Cams In Body Bags
Public pranks are one thing, but social prank experiments involving real-time improvisation with the general public are quite another. That’s what Chris Demarais and Aaron Marquis are learning in Rooster Teeth’s newest show, Social Disorder. The two hosts aim to best each other by coming up with interesting (and decidedly awkward) social experiments they can take to the streets of Austin, Texas, to earn points and film using hidden cameras. The goal is to complete the objective of the experiment within 30 minutes, or if that’s not possible, come out with the most points at the end. However, this isn’t as easy as it sounds, especially when you take a look at the first episode which was released on September 13. In “The Body Bag,” Demarais and Marquis decide to see who can get a body bag from Marquis’s apartment to the river, using nothing but themselves,...

Rooster Teeth Creates ‘Infinity Blade’ Spoof With ChAIR Entertainment
Rooster Teeth, the Austin, Texas-based production company, has another title to add to its roster of gut-busting antics. The company partnered with ChAIR Entertainment to create The iBlade Trilogy, a spoof on the Infinity Blade games. Having catapulted onto YouTube on August 22, 2014, part one of the series introduces the viewers to Russ (played by A Simple Walk Into Mordor's Chris Demarais), an engineer determined to update the “medieval” efficiency and mindset of his father’s iBlade, Inc. company. He expects to continue his family's legacy as the 197th CEO, but is passed over for a less competent (and unrelated) co-worker who’s a fantastic salesman. But soon after, Russ uncovers a threat which could bring down the long-standing company, and has to figure out how to stop it and prove his worth before the end of the day. Literally. Shot as a live-action, the series spoofs ChAIR’s Infinity Blade iOS app games,...

2 Lotr Fans Set Out to Simply Walk into Mordor
"One cannot simply walk into Mordor."

Just the other day when I posted an article about a Hobbit Pub called The Green Dragon in New Zealand, I mentioned how I've always wanted to go to New Zealand to take the Middle Earth tour. I'm not sure when or if that will ever happen, but I'd love to do what these two Lord of the Rings fans did!

Kerry Shawcross and Chris Demarais are the Red Vs. Blue guys who run the website Rooster Teeth. They decided to take a trip to New Zealand, and put Boromir's words to the test. With a guide, sleeping bags and lembas bread they set off from Hobbiton to make the 120 mile long trek to Mount Ngauruhoe, which is the mountain that stood in for Mount Doom in the films. Along the way they have fun chasing and yelling at farm animals and get shocked by electric fences.

Lol: Siri: The Holiday Horror Movie (2011) Trailer
Siri The Holiday Horror Movie Trailer. Rooster Teeth‘s Siri: The Holiday Horror Movie trailer stars Barbara Dunkelman, Marshall Rimmer, Michael Jones, Chris Demarais, and Joel Heyman. Siri: The Holiday Horror Movie plot synopsis: a group of friends get the iPhone 4Ss for Christmas unaware that the Siri assistant within the phone has a blood thirst.

Video tagline: “Beware the upgrade…..” This faux movie trailer is hilarious. The knife scene was probably one of the funniest moments. I couldn’t figure out if the iPhone4S was possessed by a demon or if Siri (the phone’s preloaded virtual assistant) was the evil force and had been evil all along. Regardless, it is very entertaining and Rooter Team did a good job on it.

Watch the Siri: The Holiday Horror Movie trailer below and leave your thoughts on it in the comments section. For more hilarious lol posts, check out our Lol Page.

‘The Wingmen’ Review: Pseudo-Doc Finds Funny, Eventually
Created by Brad Anner, Zach Anner, Jordan Crowder, Chris Demarais, Aaron Marquis and Marshall Rimmer (all but Brad star in the show) The Wingmen suffers from a few things, not the least of which is the length of each episode. It’s quite possible that the several creative voices making this show also creates a preciousness that allows things to stay in that should be long gone or at the very least cut way down. The show has its fans out there though, with enough of them rallying behind the boys to net it a Streamy nomination earlier this year for the Audience Choice award.
