Joshua Overbay (MFA) is an award-winning filmmaker whose work blends spiritual inquiry, psychological depth, and bold visual storytelling. His debut feature, As It Is in Heaven (2014), was a New York Times "Critic's Pick" and called "ominous" and "quietly compelling" by The Hollywood Reporter. His third feature, Luke & Jo, premiered internationally at the Spirit of Independence Film Festival and holds a 100% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes. He also directed Spare the Child, a short doc about survivors of corporal punishment, screened globally, including with Brazil's Supreme Federal Court. Overbay has taught at Western Carolina University, LSU, and Asbury University.
