The film is a remake of Lal Jr.’s hit 2019 Malayalam-language film “Driving License” where Prithviraj Sukumaran played a superstar actor who urgently needs a driving license, but his plans to get it from a motor vehicle inspector fan of his, played by Suraj Venjaramoodu, go awry and a feud ensues between them.

“Selfiee” is being produced by Indian media personality Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Prithviraj Productions, Magic Frames and Cape of Good Films. India’s Viacom18 Studios and media personality Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions have partnered for a theatrical, broadcast and streaming distribution slate.

The two entities will collaborate on a range of Hindi-language films, which are in various stages of production and are expected to release over the next 18 – 24 months.

Films under the deal include “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,” starring Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, directed by Johar; “JugJugg Jeeyo,” starring Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani, directed by Raj Mehta; Shakun Batra’s untitled film starring Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa, as well as Shashank Khaitan’s next venture featuring Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar.

Mumbai, March 13 (Ians) Actor Anil Kapoor on Saturday shared a throwback photograph clicked 40 years ago in Calcutta (now Kolkata), and a vital tip on growing old gracefully.

The photograph, shot in front of Grand Hotel, was clicked by Padma Shri award recipient photographer Nemai Ghosh, who passed away last year. The 64-year-old actor took to Twitter to share the black-and-white photo along with a coloured image of himself recently clicked in Mumbai. In both the photos, the actor sports faded denim pants and jacket.

"As you get older, the only thing that you should let fade are your denims. 2021, Mumbai, 1980, Calcutta (Shot by the Late Nimay Ghosh). Denim brands if you are looking for a male model.. Call me!" Kapoor wrote.

Netflix introduced a slate of 40 Indian films, series and documentaries at its “See What’s Next India 2021” event today, presided over by Monika Shergill, vice president of content for Netflix India, and Srishti Behl Arya, director, International Original Film.

The film slate sees Netflix teaming with major Mumbai-based production houses such as Reliance Entertainment, T-Series, Emmay Entertainment, Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP and Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment.

With Dharmatic, Netflix is producing anthology Ajeeb Daastaans and Vivek Soni’s romantic drama Meenakshi Sundareshwar.

Netflix today hosted an event in Mumbai unveiling a hefty slate of upcoming films, series, documentaries, reality programs, and comedy specials.

There were a total of 40 projects touted during today’s showcase, some of which were previously announced, such as the Alfonso Cuaron-exec produced feature The Disciple, which as Deadline revealed Netflix took world rights on following the movie’s premiere at Venice last year.

Also on the slate are: the series Bombay Begins from Endemol Shine India, Endeavor Content and Chernin Entertainment; the relationship drama Ajeeb Daastaans, from directors Shashank Khaitan, Raj Mehta, Neeraj Ghaywan and Kayoze Irani; the feature Pagglait from Umesh Bist; and Reliance Entertainment’s Bulbul Tarang.

Manali, Feb 26: Bollywood actress Kiara Advani is currently in Manali, shooting for her upcoming film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. On Friday she posted a photograph clicked in the snow.

In the photo, Kiara wears a white top, a woollen cap and pink gloves. "Snow glow," she captioned the image on Instagram.

Kiara also shared a few other photographs of snowed roads in the scenic holiday spot, on Instagram story.

Shoot of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, co-starring Kartik Aaryan, was stalled owing to the pandemic and the film is back on floor again. As per reports, the remaining portions will be shot in Mumbai in March and then in Lucknow. The horror comedy also stars Tabu, and is all set to hit theatres on November 19.

Apart from this, Kiara will feature alongside Sidharth Malhotra in the forthcoming war drama Shershaah, which will release in theatres on July 2.

Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor shared a social media post in the memory of her late husband Rishi Kapoor on their 41st wedding anniversary on Friday.

Neetu shared a video on Instagram which comprises a collage of scenes from different films featuring the two of them in their younger days as well as recent years.

Captioning the video, Neetu wrote: "Justtt" along with a heartbroken emoji. "Would have been our 41 years today," she added. 

Bollywood stars Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor had tied the knot on January 22, 1980. The coupe are parents to Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and jewellery designer Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. 

Rishi Kapoor breathed his last in Mumbai on April 30 last year after a two-year battle with leukemia. Wife Neetu often takes to social media to express her pain of missing him.

As the film completed one year of its release, Akshay Kumar shared a behind-the-scenes video which shows him performing a difficult 'naagin' dance, while sitting on a horse. The actor shared that the video sums up 2020 for him.

Mumbai, Dec 19 (Ians) Filmmaker Raj Mehta on Saturday announced that the shooting of his upcoming film Jug Jugg Jeeyo has resumed. The unit of the film was in Chandigarh on an outdoor schedule but shooting had to be halted after cast members Varun Dhawan and Neetu Kapoor, besides director Mehta, tested Covid positive.

"It's okay to ask for a time out. It's okay to keep your head down and lay low. But then dust yourself off, get back in the ring and fight like you've never fought before. This was always meant to be a different experience. But We're Back!! #raringtogo #gratitude," Mehta wrote on Instagram.

Bollywood star Varun Dhawan on Monday offered fans a glimpse of how he might look when he grows old with a quirky post on social media.

Varun shared three photos on his verified Instagram account that show him as a young boy, in his current age, and as an old man with salt and pepper beard and grey hair, a look he created using photo-editing apps.

He captioned the collage with a touch of humour. "Life in isolation. Swipe right to see me age," he wrote.

The actor was referring to the fact that he recently tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently living in isolation. Varun Dhawan tested positive while shooting for his upcoming film "Jug Jugg Jeeyo" in Chandigarh.
