Biography

Biography

    • Skully Shemwell found his start in the Arts as a musician playing bass for the Midwest rock band Drivin' Rain. Having performed hundreds of times in front of indoor and outdoor crowds alike, the band has worked with over 50 of the top names in rock n' roll.

Like many artists that cross over, Skully always had an inner desire to try his talents as an actor. He found his opportunity with Midwest independent film maker and cinematographer Steve E. Turner, playing thug with a gun Jasper Sands. His performance was such that nearly every local independent director hired him for subsequent roles as they came available, many of them in short films.

Since this beginning he has been cast in films for independent feature lengths and award winning shorts, online pitch films, and even Project Greenlight submissions. He was also cast in the film Firelily as a bar musician. This film crew came to Cape Girardeau with an award winning script, a $200k budget, and a cast from L.A., California. Skully has shown his talents as versatile, taking on crime dramas, comedic roles, and even playing a suave Death himself.

Skully's latest ventures find him cast in the new TV show pilot pitch "Tampsen Air", a new family adventure titled "The Lost Treasure of Jesse James", and even a small role as James in "Interview A Monster"- a new indie movie starring Tom Green and Survivorman's Les Stroud.

Skully hopes to continue working with familiar and new directors alike because he says it is the best and only way to gain maximum exposure, and meet the best of people.
