John-Patrick, is a NAUI and PADI trained Rescue Scuba Diver. He cut his teeth on the waters of Lake Erie where the storms can become overwhelming to large and small vessels alike. The lake itself is very shallow so storms can have quite an impact. There are more shipwrecks in Lake Erie than the Bermuda Triangle, and visibility in the lake - especially during a storm - is exceptionally low. On his 241st dive, JP was able to dive on a wreck off the coast of South Carolina. "The water was so clear, and there were so many fish, I was literally crying in my mask!" he said. He also fed an octopus that was sitting in the cockpit of a F-100 that was submerged as part of a reef rebuilding project. "It looked like the Octopus was trying to fly the plane at one point," JP said.
