Cara Yeates is a Canadian filmmaker based in New York. Her award-winning narrative short, Gone Before Your Eyes, is available on PBS and has garnered nine awards, including two for directing. The film won the Extraordinary Shorts Competition at the Leiden International Film Festival and was selected for 30 festivals, including the Woodstock, Mill Valley, Sedona, and Newport Beach Film Festivals.
Cara also produced The New Yorker Theater: A Talbot Legacy, a short documentary that premiered at the 2025 Santa Barbara International Film Festival. She is currently in production with the documentary Mothers of the Missing.
Since joining Trigger Creative in 2015 as a partner and head of production, Cara has created content worldwide with major brands, including Morgan Stanley, Michelob, Ford, and Delta.
Her career began in theater, where she wrote, performed, and toured four one-woman shows across North America. Her shows were called "blistering," "a tour-de-force," and "irresistible."
