- Elena sings and plays piano and guitar.
- Elena auditioned for Canadian Idol when she was 18 and was nicknamed "The Little Dynamo from B.C." She placed 6th in the show's second season.
- Elena replaced Jon Dore as Canadian Idol's Roving Reporter in Season 4. She was still studying in university at the time.
- Has one older brother, Jay Leonard Juatco, a guitarist in Vancouver, British Columbia.
- Elena released her debut album of original songs "Beyond This Line" on International Women's day, March 8, 2015.
- Elena's mother always wanted her to be a doctor and was thrilled when Elena played the role of Dr. Scarlet McWhinnie in "Open Heart".
