Biography

Johanna Alexander (also known as under names Jo Alexander/Johanna Reeve) is an English born writer and actor, now based in Italy. She started acting/film school in 2001 in Perth, West Australia. Her first script was a pantomime "Eat the Cake", co-written with Nicola Renton-Weir, which was produced as a stage show in 2002 and 2018 in Perth WA.

In 2002 a short film "Nails' written by Johanna was produced as part of the Actors Workshop course. This lead to a collaboration between Johanna as a writer/actor with directors, actors and crew all having met at acting school and passionate to make film.

Writing in collaboration with a director Stevie Kezic they produced a short film Amulet in 2003, and feature Fisheye Stiller in 2005, and Rose's Portrait in 2008 (showcased at the Luna Cinema, Leederville, WA) In 2011 after a season of improvisation theatre Johanna wrote, directed and produced The Agency, a short film. Winning Festival Favourite at a short Film Festival in Perth.

In 2012 Johanna relocated to Italy. She has been writing a new screenplay which director Bruce Beresford and producer/director Chris Symes, have both read and given positive industry feedback.
