Arpita Mukherjee(I)

Arpita Mukherjee was the winner of the "Golden Voice Hunt " on Zee tv's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. An Air Force officer's daughter, and an Economics (Hons) Graduate and Sangeet Shiromani from Delhi University, she has a strong musical base with her classical and semi-classical training. She sang a duet song and featured in the music video along with singer Shaan, which was composed by the trio of Gourov Dasgupta, Roshin Balu and Shaan for YashRajFilms and Yfilms "loveshots" . Her upcoming Bollywood song is from the movie "Ek Tha Hero" (ZEE MUSIC), the music for which has been composed by Monty Sharma. She was also the top finalist on the show "Fame Gurukul" on Sony tv. She has sung songs for several popular serials such as "Balika Vadhu" on Colors, "Tere Sheher Mein" on Star Plus, "Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi" on Sony tv, "Palampur Express" on Sony tv and "Ram Leela-Ajay Devgan Ke saath" on life OK. Her voice has also featured in several jingles. Her song and music video 'palkon ke peeche' from the album 'Yaariyan' on Universal Music has garnered a fabulous response from music lovers.

Currently, Arpita Mukherjee is judging on the Grand Jury Panel of Saregamapa Lil Champs on Zee TV.

At the age of 6, she started learning music, mainly Hindi film songs, Bhajans and later Ghazals and Thumris, from her first guru - her mother Smt Jayshree Mukerji. She gave her first stage performances at various Air-Force Functions. She has trained in Classical Hindustani Music under Pt. Deepak Chatterji Of Delhi and Shri Sunil Borgaonkar in Bombay. She received training in playback singing from Shri Ananth Vaidyanathanji
