Rooster Teeth’s New Comedy Competition Locks Creators In A Room For 6 Hours (Trailer)
Geoff Ramsey
Rooster Teeth is uncoincidentally debuting its latest comedy competition series on 4/20. Titled Last Laugh, the venture -- part social experiment, part game show -- will see 12 contestants trapped in a room for six hours; whoever laughs, smiles, or smirks three times is eliminated until only one creator is left standing.

The unscripted series -- which will offer a $1,000 cash prize for one winner -- comes courtesy of Funhaus, a Rooster Teeth-owned gaming and comedy channel. The series was created by longtime Funhaus member and gaming personality Elyse Willems, with Rooster Teeth co-founder Geoff Ramsey serving as host, and Rooster Teeth’s Stephanie Ard directing.

The contestants are: James Willems, Adam Kovic, Willems, Jon Smith, Lindsay Jones, Michael Jones, Alfredo Diaz, Fiona Nova, Gus Sorola, Chris Demarais, Blaine Gibson, and Jessica Vasami. Each contestant has three lives, with one life lost for every smile, snicker, or full-on giggle.

Machinima’s Inside Gaming Crew Reunites, Promotes The Movie ‘Tag’
More than three years after they left Machinima, the original Inside Gaming crew has returned to their own home. On June 8, Adam Kovic and Bruce Greene hosted a special episode of their old show, in which they discussed the upcoming game Fallout 76 and shared a clip from the new movie Tag.

As part of the reunion, Kovic and Greene introduced a fake segment called "Tag Watch," in which James Willems riffs about the film's development. The video ends with an exclusive clip from Tag, which follows a group of friends who have been playing the same game of tag for 30 years.

Calling the new Inside Gaming episode a reunion is a bit of a misnomer, since most of the show's old hosts -- including Kovic, Greene, and Willems -- make videos together on the Rooster Teeth-owned channel Funhaus, which they launched days after airing their last Inside Gaming episode. On that hub,...

YouTube Millionaires: Funhaus Sees Itself As “A Comedy Channel First, Gaming Channel Second”
In 2015, Austin-based Rooster Teeth expanded into Los Angeles with the launch of Funhaus, a channel that brought over most of its hosts from Machinima's old Inside Gaming crew. Two years later, Funhaus has flourished, picking up a dedicated following thanks to a combination of gameplay, humor, nonsense, and even scripted content, such as the new animated series Sex Swing. The members of the Funhaus gang -- (from left to right above) James Willems, Elyse Willems, Bruce Greene, Lawrence Sonntag, Matt Peake, and Adam Kovic -- now count more than a million subscribers on their channel, and we caught up with Greene and Kovic to hear some of their thoughts.

Tubefilter: How does it feel to have one million subscribers? What do you have to say to your fans?

Bruce Greene: It constantly blows our mind. It's one of those things where it feels like just a number until we...

The sixth annual gaming and internet culture event conceived of and orchestrated by Austin-based digital entertainment company Rooster Teeth kicked off in the beloved internet entity's hometown of Auston on July 1, 2016. And as is typically the case, several upcoming series and projects for the Fullscreen-owned brand were revealed.

At the Funhaus Live panel, the gaming group’s Bruce Greene, James Willems, Elyse Willems, Lawrence Sonntag, and Adam Kovic played several interactive games with audience members before closing out the session with the announcement of the upcoming series Sex Swing: The Animated Series. While no further information has been revealed as of yet, the animated show will likely be based on two popular Funhaus shorts where Greene, Willems, Sonntag, Kovic, and other Funhaus employees play returning members of the fictional rock band Sex Swing (who only play...
