It's hard to believe, perhaps, but we're already on episode six of America's Next Top Model's 14th (yes, 14th) season. Despite the soul-crushing feeling that this show may have run its course, onward we tread - and admittedly, the casting this season has made it all worthwhile. Returning to the house after the last panel, Nastasia gets to go into the Tyra Suite since she won best photo. She of course chooses Kiara to share her prize and the two celebrate the victory by doing a lot of shrieking. Meanwhile, in the bathroom in the main part of the house, Laura is ranting to Victoria about how she's normally "laid back" but now she's "over it" and needs to win absolutely everything going forward. Cheerleading, tears, and a melodramatic finale -- no, this isn't "Bring It On 3: All Or Nothing," it's the latest installment of "America's Next Top Model!" If you recall, this cycle's theme is "College Edition," although that flimsy premise has dried up by Episode 5, and we are treated to the formless Antm structure of yester cycles. The petty drama takes off as soon as the models return to the house: Laura is "President" of the house this week due to her high scores at judging, and thusly enjoys the lackluster charms of the Tyra Suite. Unlike Victoria, who greedily hoarded the whole room to herself, Laura invites bitchyboo Kristen to cohabitate, prompting Leila's jealousy and a girl-on-girl "obsession" plotline that reverberates throughout the episode. The camera pans over a dingy sink, overflowing with dishes, as Leila waxes self-pitiful, which, if you're familiar with the Antm editing process, does not bode well for her.

This week's episode of "America's Next Top Model" ran the gamut in terms of genre, throwing us everything from mean girls to Tyler Perry to zombies. There's something for everyone! The scene opens on the Top Model house: Victoria won Best Photo last week, and thusly savors the luxuries afforded to the weekly "president," aka access to the Tyra Suite and not much else. In an unexpected diva move, Vicki opts to stay in the suite alone instead of sharing the wealth, a bitch-play I deeply appreciate. Kiara keenly observes that Vicki might lack the social skills garnered by those who attend schools outside of their own homes, a surprising insight for someone with shaved eyebrows. Semi-plus-size shovel-face Yvonne laments her Yeti looks and lack of fans; I say she needs to bounce out on her misshapen booty Asap.

Tyra welcomes 30 semifinalists to a sorority-style house, looking like she just crawled up the beach after being marooned on an island. Seriously, what is going on with her hair? And she brings out the new judges. We miss Nigel, Jay and Miss J already.

After the girls do a walk-off and a photoshoot, they have their interviews with the judges and the reading of the fans' messages is old after one person. That is just not interesting. The girls range from a home-schooled weird girl named Victoria who sounds like Sarah Palin and plays the race card in a very awkward way, to a "Kitty" who likes to meow and looks like Audra McDonald to Kristin, a girl who likes to brawl, is wearing clown-level rouge and thinks...

Women from schools ranging from a cosmetics institute to Harvard Divinity School will be competing on "America's Next Top Model" this season.

The "College Edition" of The CW's long-running reality show debuts Aug. 24, and it will feature new judges (Kelly Cutrone and Rob Evans), a new creative consultant (Johnny Wujek) and fan voting that will help determine who stays and who goes each week. And given the college theme, probably at least one photo shoot set in a library and Tyra Banks wearing glasses a lot.

A lot of celebrities had words to say about the passing of Donna Summer, but leave it to Sir Elton John to squeeze in a dig at (presumably) Madonna in his. "I'm so sad. This woman was the queen of disco and so much more. Her records sound as good today as they ever did. That she has never been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a total disgrace, especially when I see the second-rate talent that has been inducted. Oh my, who says models aren't smart?

In "Anthony Zuiker," we got an early look at the most painful challenge that all Antm candidates face: memorizing lines. But double the pain because they had to memorize difficult (re: unpronounceable) medical jargon from CSI.

In almost every cycle of Antm to date, there was a medical mishap. In Cycle 6, Danielle suffered from food poisoning in Thailand; in Cycle 7, CariDee almost got hypothermia.This cycle it was Kayla with a serious headache.

After Kayla overdosed on ibuprofen, the poor thing had a “mini-heart attack” and was taken to the hospital.Thankfully, she returned to model mansion looking as good as new, even if she did look drained throughout the episode.

The actual CSI challenge was seriously painful to watch.Neosporin?Gas?Mass?Ass?These were just some of the words that the girls threw around as they attempted to pronounce "gas chromatograph mass spectrometer.

Another week, another dramatic episode with a bunch of models (who make us want to skip that cheeseburger for dinner) trying to get another shot at fame on America's Next Top Model: All-Stars. The ladies were all on edge coming into the third week, because after big personalities like Brittany and Sheena getting the boot, no one was safe. And tonight was no different, as the girls tested their on-camera poise along with their sense of balance while standing up high (and we don't mean their self-esteem). Tonight on America's Next Top Model: We learn Kristin Cavaralli's lessons on how to be a reality star, how to get interviewed by Mario Lopez, what "booty tooch" means, and what Tyra thought of her Saturday Night Live parody. Oh, and some modeling happens in there somewhere. On Stilts!

After winning best photo for showing her chewed up food to the camera in the Pink's Hot Dog challenge, Lisa points out what the rest of us have noticed: This cycle is supposed to be about personality, yet two of the biggest personalities -- Sheena and Brittany -- were the first to go. The lesson the girls take away from this is, "No one is safe!" The lesson they Should take away is, "This whole thing is bullsh*t so let's just have fun with it." But I'm sure they'll catch on eventually.

Poor Brittany was the first casualty of the "America's Next Top Model" all-star season. On the way home from judging, the girls go bonkers over the prizes for the winner of the season. There's a quick montage of all the girls saying they deserve to win. I just wish one had been like, "Naw, I should get like fourth place."

At the Model Manse, Alexandria says she's "a misunderstood star." Snerk. Whatever you need to tell yourself to sleep at night. Um, what is with the talking-head interviews where everyone has on Chemo Patient Chic? Weird.

Anyway. Tyra shows up with Martin Lindstrom, a "brand strategist genius" (Tyra's words). He is there to school them about their individual brands, which he says should boil down to one word that he assigns them. Lisa gets daring, Sheena gets unexpected and then Martin tells Kayla her...

This season of Top Model is all about becoming a recognizable "brand" -- to achieve riches and fame not just with mere modeling, but with personality.

Cycle 4's Brittany Brower originally forged her way into Antm fans' hearts with her big laugh, fun-loving attitude and unflagging honesty. (Oh, and she also happens to be gorgeous and a great model. That doesn't hurt, either.) So when it was announced that Brittany was cast in the all-star cycle, she seemed like a shoo-in for the finals, because she's all about personality!

Now, after being eliminated first from the all-star cast, Brittany's not holding back the honesty, this time about her own suspicious elimination: "It doesn't make sense. I don't believe it," she told me of Tyra's reasoning, which was that Brittany simply wasn't memorable enough to the fans at their live judging panel.

America’s Next Top Model has gone the Top Chef route and gone All-Star on viewers.

Because it is Antm, the returning contestants were a mixed batch of talent and infamy. Is Lisa D’Amato really an All-Star or do they just want to bring back the girl who peed in a diaper? The ultimate icing on the drama cake would have been Jade Cole from Cycle 6 coming back, but she rejected the offer. Drats!

The enthusiasm of the live audience and the returning contestants was really infectious, though, so much so that I enjoyed "Nicki Minaj" more than any other Antm episode in recent cycles.

It was also really fun to see some of my favorite contestants like Bre, Laura, Brittany, Sheena, Isis, and Allison back in the game.It didn’t seem like they shared my sentiment, however.. Aside from a few happy faces, most of the models...

We're a week away from the premiere of America's Next Top Model: All-Stars, and while we're still having a blast reliving the past with our "Know Your Top Model All-Stars" series (read the latest one here!), it's time to look toward the season and find out just how excited we ought to be to have this cast of characters back in Tyra's clutches.

According to two new interviews with those in the know, noted fashion photographer/Antm panel mainstay Nigel Barker and all-star contestant Brittany Brower, there just aren't enough synonyms for "crazy" to describe the competition this cycle.

It was a night of high profile falls for reality TV on Wednesday -- when two reality stars took tumbles during their big moments. First up: Haley Reinhart on " American Idol ." Haley was so into her performance of Led Zeppelin 's " What Is & What Should Never Be " Tuesday night that she tripped on the stage right in front of the judging panel. Los Angeles, CA, United States (Ahn Entertainment) - It's hard to believe that the next cycle of "America's Next Top Model" will be its 17th. But for its latest season, Tyra Banks is going to be seeing a lot of familiar faces as the show brings back some of its most popular runner-ups for an "All-Star" Edition.

The girls returning for a second shot at the title of "America's Next Top Model," or in this case "America's Next Top Model All-Star," range from contestants from the show's very first season to its currently-running 16th cycle.

Among the models set to return are Cycle 1 star Shannon Stewart, who came in first runner-up to the show's first-ever winner Adrianne Curry. Other first runner-ups returning for a chance at first place include Cycle 12's Allison Harvard and Cycle 13's Laura Kirkpatrick.

Mr. Jay is a one busy, talented guy. Not only is he Tyra's right hand man as the resident America's Next Top Model photo shoot director and the host of Canada's Next Top Model, but he's also a fashion designer. This week, Manuel, a native Canadian, debuted his Fall 2011 collection for Sears, "Attitude," in his hometown during Toronto Fashion Week.

Antm alums Dani Evans, Aminat Ayinde, and McKey Sullivan joined some of Jay's Cntm stars to walk the collection on the runway, sporting a range of dark, tailored pantsuits and blazers as well as more vibrant and feminine coats, scarves and dresses.

It’s the second week in a row that Antm has mentioned John Galliano. Obviously, it was filmed before the Galliano fallout, but still, I’m surprised producers haven’t cut offending remarks about praise to him. In actual show news, the girls finally meltdown at their impending makeover doom, and inevitable drama ensues! Let’s break it down.

The Makeover:

It’s makeover time... dum dum dum! The girls get an extra dose of anxiety when Tyra sends them a little preview of the makeovers they will be getting without specifying who will be subjected to which makeover. The girls freak out over “manly” and “short Dutch boy” and, really, who wants to be a short Dutch (female) boy?

Brittany does! And she looks fabulous, too! Miss J freaks out over poor, sweet Jaclyn by threatening her with a razor, although she takes it in stride. Psyche!

It’s a whole new season of America’s Next Top Model, as viewers were taken to Tyra Land last night.

While every cycle’s has some strange Tyra moments, the start to Cycle 16 was almost like a parody of Antm, with the girls acting as a platform for Banks to perform. By cutting out casting, Tyra got a chance to mock the wannabe models, which was amusing, spot-on and incredibly self-serving.

Best Tyra line: “I’m not a cookie cutter. I cut the cookies. And I will cut you."

Tyra also decided to switch things up by fooling the contestants who were picked and pretending to send them home; it seemed like a good idea in theory, but what about the models who thought they were picked but really were eliminated? That seems like a pretty traumatizing trick!

Unsurprisingly, the Department of Justice has filed a brief in the Log Cabin Republicans case on Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell requesting the ruling be limited to the plaintiffs in the case (which were never named, because naming themselves would get them kicked out of the military).

Hooked on Season 13 of America’s Next Top Model on Living? As the season continues next Monday at 9pm we’ve got news of the latest online challenge for you!

In Monday’s episode the girls were introduced to 9-year-old runway model Diva Davanna, who proved you don’t have to be tall, to walk tall! Miss J taught them runways techniques, which were put to the test at a Malibu fashion show, where the girls had to walk next to a model 5′10″ or above. The warehouse photo shoot had the girls using elements of the set and their outfits, to elongate themselves.

Brittany and Lulu found themselves in the bottom two, and despite being one of the tallest models at 5’7, Lulu was sent home for her poor performance in front of the lens. Next week a CoverGirl challenge will see the girls racing against each other (literally!), whilst doing their make-up and styling.

We're used to hearing actors inspiring people, but models have been doing so as well.  We've seen Tyra Banks do her share, giving a chance to the contestants of America's Next Top Model.  Just the same, those who have gone under her tutelage on the series have been an inspiration to aspiring models as well.

According to Chicago Now, Cycle 11 winner McKey Sullivan took time out of her schedule to visit the 18-year-old Kahla Harper at Chicago's Rush University Medical Center.  The teen is a big fan of America's Next Top Model, so this surprise was certainly a joy for her.

It's the dawn of a new era, Model fans, not just an era of petite-ness, though for the record, previous winner Eva is only 5'6 and change, but an era of -- dare I write it? -- lucidity, credibility or seeming relevance? It was Bloody Eyeball versus the Bull Castrator, and to the episode's credit, it had me believing there was almost a credible contest. But we all knew what would happen tonight, and the best part was that it actually did. Most of the time, the finale of Antm has three women pitted against one another, and surely that...

Dudes. If this wasn't straight-up the worst episode of Top Model ever, I don't know what was. Really and truly: I think this was rock bottom. Which is maybe good, because that means next week (and next cycle, I guess? hope?) will have to be better, and that gives us all something to look forward to. The shocking eliminations on America's Next Top Model continue! Last week it was Rae, and this week another gorgeous model with a strong body of work on the show was sent home: Brittany Markert, the 21-year-old student from Santa Clara, California.

Brittany was a quiet killer (in a good way) throughout this season of shorties on Antm, winning challenges and photo shoots with her sexy gaze and delicate elegance, but not much air time, as she noted in our interview. But once the final 6 got to Hawaii, where Brittany felt her work in this week's controversial hapa photo shoot was inspired, the judges saw a model who was falling flat, and she was sent home.

I had the pleasure of talking to Brittany this morning about her experience in the Top Model house, and she shared her highs and lows, from her favorite photo shoot to her shocking elimination.

(S13E08) I don't know how America's Next Top Model's photoshoots continue to grow more and more insane. This week, Tyra decided to turn the model hopefuls bi-racial. Surprisingly, the photos didn't turn out bad, just not model-like.

You know it's never good when a boring character gets a character. The mathematician Brittany caught the bitch bug and complained about how immature Erin was for the rest of the episode. Guess what happened at the end of the episode? I would rather have gotten the "fading away" edit that Tyra loves so much.

Last night on America's Next Top Model, Erin may have cried so much during her Covergirl commercial that they almost ran out of concealer from all her touch-ups. But she wasn't the only one who had a hard time pushing through the video shoot.

Even though they had the chance to write their own scripts, each girl had her own challenges with the delivery: from Nicole, who needed to conquer her natural awkwardness, to Brittany, who memorized her script so perfectly that she came off sounding like a robot. There was one clear winner of the challenge, though, and she took to the camera like a bubbly, head-bobbing fish to water.

Huge ups to the lovely Mandi for taking over Antm duties for me, but huge downs on this episode: The commercial weeks are aaaaaalways my least favorite, and the elimination seemed really off to me. (S13E07) I love watching episodes of America's Next Top Model where contestants think they are amazing and crash and burn by the end of the show. This week, the challenge for the would-be models was the dreaded CoverGirl commercial.

The past few episodes have really become "Let's root for dorky Nicole, dyslexic Laura, and droopy-eyed Jennifer." They don't get bitch edits and even Rae finally realized how cool Nicole's dork-chic can actually be. Sundai and Erin complain about everything, while Brittany and Rae are forgettable. Since all three are favorites, I doubt that Tyra will pick them to win.

This week, we're going to do something different. Let's list the things we learned from last night's episode of America's Next Top Model: 1. Models (even Nicole) need personality. Even though we can count on one hand the number of model's personalities we know, and, presumably, there are more than five models working today. 2. You are stupid if you thought you were doing a "bumper car shoot." 3. Kara, pictured, who got the boot over Sundai, has no idea that her voice is as annoying as Nicole's, even if she's "clever" enough to snap, "She has the social graces of a fetus.

Usually we hear a lot about the winners of America's Next Top Model and what they've been busy with ever since their Cycle ended.  We know how Eva Pigford-Marcille, Whitney Thompson, CariDee English and McKey Sullivan rose to fame outside of the show.  But who's really heard about last season's Teyona Anderson?

Most of us were taken aback by how she beat crowd favorite Allison on Cycle 12, but just how far did she make it afterwards?  Apparently, she's still trying to make it in the world of modeling.  According to Today's Sunbeam, she's busy going from New York to South Africa.  Oh, so that's why we could hardly keep up with her.

This week's instalment opens with the remaining girls reflecting on the departure of Lulu and their individual places in the competition. A mourning Ashley suggests Lulu was the only person in the house that "really understood" her, while Erin admits that she was happy Brittany ended up in the bottom two. "She has won a million challenges, look how the mighty have fallen," she says. "Now she knows where she stands." Elsewhere, Bianca suggests that the last panel was a "triumph" because she avoided the bottom two and managed to lose the harshness in her face which means she is learning and that is progress. The first Tyra Mail of the week reveals that the girls are going to have a personal make-up lesson with Sam Fine, who teaches them the importance of knowing how to do their own face. Helloooo, model behaviorists! I missed you guys last week, so I thought maybe the Antm gods (demons) would reward me with a doubly-good episode, but, uh, guess not. There's a thin line between spunky and over-reacting to granola bar theft.  If you remember the temper of Brittany "Bre" Scullark on America's Next Top Model Cycle 5, you probably won't be surprised about her recent brush with the law.

According to TMZ, the famed contestant on the hit reality television series was arrested in New York City a couple of weeks ago for her disorderly conduct.  She supposedly lost control at a local Starbucks establishment, when a woman accused her of stealing her laptop.

Last week on America's Next Top Model, Brittany won the "best runway walk" challenge, receiving the oh-so coveted prize of posing in a prom dress "advertorial" spread in Seventeen magazine along with two pals. She chose Kara and Laura to get high school dance dolled up with her.

This week was all about standing tall, on the runway and in front of the camera. The girls faced their runway challenge with pride, even after learning they would have to walk with giraffe models.
