Ole Andreas Grøntvedt, FNF is a Cinematographer based in Norway. Member of FNF - The Norwegian Society of Cinematographers.
Born in Trondheim, Norway. Working globally from his base in Oslo. He has more than 20 years of experience in the film industry. Grøntvedt is currently President of FNF. Since 2024 he is also a member of IMAGO Technical Committee (ITC).
Ole Andreas studied Cinematography at the Film & TV-Academy (NISS) in Oslo. Later he did Advanced Study in Extended Cinematography at the Global Cinematography Institute (GCI) in Los Angeles, founded by Yuri Neyman, ASC and Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC.
He served as a Cameraman/Editor during his Conscription Military Service. In his early twenties he worked part-time at Norsk Filmstudio, the biggest rental house in Norway. He also has a background as Focus Puller/1st AC where he gained experience from feature films, TV-dramas, shorts and commercials. Later he spent some years at NRK - The Norwegian Broadcasting Company. Today he is 100% freelance Cinematographer. Grøntvedt has been a Board Member of FNF - The Norwegian Society of Cinematographers since 2017. He was co-president between 2020-2022, and Vice President from 2022-2025 when he was elected President.
As a Cinematographer he does Commercials, Promos, Shorts, Television, Music Videos, Feature Films, TV Dramas and Industrials. Besides working on features and TV-Dramas, Ole Andreas has been DOP on reality-shows as the Norwegian "Survivor", "Trinny & Susannah" and "Farmer Wants a Wife" (4 seasons). As a Cameraman he has done physically challenging productions like "71 Degrees North" (13 seasons).
Based in Oslo, but working globally: Ole Andreas has shooting experience from Scandinavia, UK, USA, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Switzerland, The Faroe Islands, The Canary Islands, Israel, Palestine, Kazhakstan, The Philippines, Mexico, Colombia and Peru.
