Andre Congo is an actor, stock footage model and aspiring voice over talent. As an actor Andre always remembered what his late mentor in college Dr. Guilbert A. Daley expounded on him. "Acting is not only to entertain, but also to edify". This quote not only opened Andre's eyes to the Arts, but also gave him a burning desire and passion to pursue greatness as a performer. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Andre found his passion for acting after seeing a modern version of Shakespeare's "Othello" at Center Stage in Baltimore. What impressed him the most was how the actors could display such a range of emotion while creating "life" on stage. While attending a small historically black college in Baltimore - Coppin State College; Andre met Samuel Wilson who started the oldest continuing black community theatre in the country - Arena Players founded in 1953. Andre did several play there including "The Bad Seed", "The Talented Tenth", and "A Servant of the People"; rise and fall of the Black Panther Party. You can say that the stage was Andre's foundation and first love as an actor. Andre also performed at other venues in Baltimore like the Vagabond Theatre in Fell Point and Potters Theatre where he performed the famous stage play "The Meeting" by Jeff Stetson, which centered on a fictitious meeting between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X. Andre talents on stage would lead him into television. He would later meet casting agent Pat Moran and performed a featured role in an episode of HBO's "Homicide: Life on the Streets".

In 2009, Andre moved to Atlanta, Georgia to further pursue his acting career. Knowing that Atlanta was geared more toward television and film, Andre knew early on that the key to becoming successful in a city exploding with hundreds of talented actors, is to take several different styles of training. He studied with some of the best teachers/coaches that Atlanta offered from Kristen Shaw, to GregAlan Williams, to Zadia Ife. Their teachings helped to transition Andre to the world of television and film. Andre's very first web series was "Money Power & Respect" created by a husband and wife team Bobby & Renee Peoples of the Peoples Network. From here Andre has done several Indie and feature films. Through diligence and hard work, Andre continues to make a name for himself. He had the pleasure to work with Tommy Ford in a short film entitled "Chronicles of Nathan Gregory. Finally, Andre is slated to portray Theodore Cross in the dramatic television episodic "Secrets" set for early 2014.
