Naoki Nokubo

Born May 14, 1981 in Iwata-shi, Shizuoka, Japan (former Toyodachô,
Iwata-gun, Shizuoka). He is very good at sports, especially baseball.
He had been playing baseball since the first grader. In 1995, when he
was the second grade in junior high school, had hit a home run at the
Meiji Jingû Stadium (the home field of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows;
Japanese professional baseball team). He won the "best nine award" as a
left fielder, and his team reached the finals of the Japan senior
league baseball tournament.
He has hit in total 23 home runs in his high-school days, and was a captain of the team when a senior. He was promised to put his name on the draft list of matches depending on the circumstances from Japanese professional baseball team (Chûnichi Dragons), but did not happen because of slump.
After graduating from high school, he "wanted to give people dreams and power" in other way of expression, went to Tokyo and entered an acting school. However, breaking into show business was not easy, he continued to have auditions while working as a doorman at Prada, and sent about 50 resumes to the entertainment companies, until belongs to "Watanabe entertainment" afterward.
In September 2006, after appearing on some TV dramas and entertainment programs, he participated in the "entertainment world diving championship" of TV program Quiz Presen Variety: Q sama!! (2004) and he established 116m in the "dynamic apnea without fins" (official date: 8 August 2006 - the then Japan record), thus he spread the name little by little.
From around summer of 2007, he became a regular cast of Quiz! Hexagon II: Quiz Parade (2005), and suddenly became very well-known by his earnest and pleasant personality. He formed a trio named "Shûchishin" with Takeshi Tsuruno (aka Shû) and Yusuke Kamiji (aka Shin), and, in April 2008, they achieved the singer debut.
In 2008, he played leading actor for the first time in the movie Towairaito shindorômu: Deddo kurûzu (2008) in August, and also was cast as the main character for the TV drama series Panda ga machi ni yatte kuru (2008) in November.
He has experienced several stage plays, still tries to widen sphere of activity for his grand plan to become a "world-wide actor".
