Jenna Ortega is Down Under promoting the new season of Wednesday!

The 22-year-old Emmy-nominated actress was joined by co-stars Gwendoline Christie and Emma Myers at the Season 2, Part 2 fan event for their hit Netflix series on Saturday (August 16) on Cockatoo Island in Sydney, Australia.

Fellow cast member Hunter Doohan was also in attendance along with executive producer and director Tim Burton.

Part 1 of the second season of Wednesday was released earlier this month and Part 2 is set to debut in just a few weeks on September 3.

Netflix just released the trailer for Part 2, which features a tease from Lady Gaga, who will be playing Rosaline Rotwood, “a mysterious and enigmatic Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday.”

Netflix has dropped a new trailer for part 2 of Wednesday season 2, and it’s already got fans buzzing about Jenna Ortega’s fate after that big cliffhanger in part 1. The first half of the season ended with Wednesday in serious danger, and now the preview teases even more chaos.

The trailer kicks off with Wednesday waking up in a hospital bed. She’s hooked up to machines, and a nurse is standing in the corner. But when the nurse turns around, it’s actually Principal Larissa Weems, played by Gwendoline Christie. Fans will remember that Weems died in season 1, so her sudden appearance is a shock. “Rise and shine, sleepyhead!” Weems says.

Wednesday replies, “What part of hell is this?” Weems answers, “This isn’t hell, Ms. Addams. But, I understand the confusion.”

When Wednesday asks why she’s there, Weems says, “Because I am your new spirit guide. Surprise!

The trailer for the final four episodes of “Wednesday” Part 2 has revealed the return of a fan favorite character: Principal Weems (played by Gwendoline Christie), who died in the Season 1 finale.

In the trailer, Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) wakes up from the coma she fell into after Tyler (Hunter Doohan) threw her out of a window at the Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital. A new trailer for the second part of “Wednesday” Season 2 is out, and it seemingly teases Lady Gaga’s arrival to the crazy and cooky world of the Addams Family and Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams.

The action-packed trailer is full of twists, surprises and familiar faces as Wednesday hunts down Hunter Doohan’s Tyler Galpin. This includes the return of Gwendoline Christie’s Larissa Weems, who was killed at the end of “Wednesday” Season 1. Weems’ return, however, comes with a twist: Wednesday is the only one who can see her.

“What ring of hell is this?” Wednesday asks, seeing Larissa dressed as a nurse as the young Addams recovers from her near-fatal experience at the end of “Season 2, Part 1.”

Dan Levy’s previously untitled Netflix crime comedy is beginning to take shape: In addition to announcing its new title — Big Mistakes — the streamer also revealed Wednesday eight additional cast members who will be joining co-creator Levy on screen.

The eight-episode series follows “two deeply incapable siblings” who are blackmailed into the world of organized crime. As previously announced, Levy (who’s also billed as showrunner and executive producer) will play a character named Nicky, alongside Laurie Metcalf (Roseanne) as Linda. The Penguin waddled to the front of the pack at the 5th Critics Choice Super Awards.

On Thursday, the Critics Choice Association (Cca) revealed the winners of the awards show that celebrates fan-favorite movies and TV shows in superhero, sci-fi/fantasy, horror, and action genres.

HBO's The Penguin was the biggest winner, dominating all four categories for which it was nominated: Best Superhero Program, Colin Farrell for both Best Actor and Best Villain, and Cristin Milioti for Best Actress. This news comes about a month before the 2025 Emmys, where The Penguin is nominated for a whopping 24 awards.

Four movies tied for the most wins at two apiece: Deadpool & Wolverine, Dune: Part Two, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, and Sinners. “Wednesday” has returned to dish out another dose of deliciously dark gothic charm. The storyline stretches its slithery tendrils into new territory that has its title character, embodied by Jenna Ortega, face foes old and new (and family) to uncover the latest supernatural mystery endangering Nevermore Academy. What it meant for production designer Mark Scruton and his team, which included designer Philip Murphy, was to expand familiar visual haunts with surprising new twists.

One of those twists, at least from a production standpoint, was shooting the season in an entirely different country. Romania was swapped for Ireland, with Ashford Studios stepping in for the stage work and areas of Dublin, Wicklow, and Offaly for practical backdrops. But fear not, Nevermore still oozes its signature moody trappings — labyrinthine corridors, eerie stained glass, and foreboding woods — but now there are fresh corners of the school revealed, which echo the gear-turning soul of the Industrial Age.

Wednesday Season 2 left fans on an eerie cliffhanger, with the Outcasts of Willow Hill roaming Jericho and a severely injured Wednesday Addams.
