Steve Gan

Edit

Biography

    • Steve Gan is known for Les Gardiens de la Galaxie Vol. 3 (2023), Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) and Les Gardiens de la Galaxie (2014).

Trivia

  • Born Santos S. Gan, he decided to change his professional name to Steve Gan, in honor of Steve Ditko, the man who created Spider-Man. He changed his name because there were many people named Santos in local comics that time.
  • He co-created Panday. However, he was not credited in any of the film and TV version of the comic character, thus he doesn't receive any royalty.
  • Before he got a break drawing for American comic book giant Marvel Comics, he sent work through his United States-based agent Tony DeZuñiga, also a Filipino comic book legend.
  • Writer/editor Nestor Redondo gave him his biggest break--the novel entitled Bernardita.
  • He worked with writer Steve Englehart for the creation of Peter Quill/Star-Lord. But after the first issue came out in January 1976, "Marvel Preview" #4, he was out from the series because his agent left America so the relationship was cut.
