In Jared Hess' blockbuster video game flick "A Minecraft Movie," Jack Black plays Steve, an ordinary man who longs to work in a mine. He represses his childhood dream until middle-age, when he decides to finally take up a pickaxe and start smashing through the rock in a tunnel in his small Idaho town. On his first outing, Steve uncovers a magical glowing cube that opens a mysterious portal deep in the mine. He passes through the portal and finds himself in the block-like Overworld, a magical realm that abides by video game physics. There, Steve can build houses out of three-foot-by-three-foot cube merely by flicking his wrists and manifesting them out of thin air. He loves it and decides to live in the Overworld.

Exclusive: Netflix is in early development on Pride, a movie based on the 2018 YA novel by Haitian American author Ibi Zoboi. The project, a modern — and timely — retelling of Jane Austen’s classic Pride and Prejudice, comes from President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground and the company behind the book, Alloy Entertainment. Max has released the official trailer for Young Love, the animated series spinoff of the Oscar-winning short Hair Love. The 12-episode season premieres with four episodes on Thursday, September 21 on Max and continues with four episodes weekly, leading up to the season finale on October 5.

From creator Matthew A. Cherry and Sony Pictures Animation, Young Love takes a look into the lives of African American millennial parents Stephen Love (Scott Mescudi) and Angela Young (Issa Rae) as they experience the relatable ups and downs of modern life. In remission following a battle with cancer, Angela struggles to balance her work as a stylist with the demands of parenthood, while Stephen attempts to carve out a career as a musician in an ultra-competitive industry. Along with their fearless daughter Zuri (Brooke Monroe Conaway), this tight-knit Chicago family juggles careers, marriage, parenthood, social issues, and multi-generational dynamics while striving to make a better life for themselves.

Max has debuted the first trailer for Young Love, the series spinoff of Matthew A. Cherry’s Oscar-winning Hair Love short.

The two-minute teaser for the 12-episode, animated expansion produced in partnership with Sony Pictures Animation features Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi) as music producer Stephen Love, Issa Rae as natural hair vlogger Angela Young, and Brooke Monroe Conaway as their young daughter Zuri Young Love.

The trio navigate the modern ups and downs of their professional and personal lives in Chicago as artists and a Black millennial-parented family. For Angela, that’s returning to her work as a stylist after cancer treatment, while Steven manages the grind of a career in an ultra-competitive industry.

“Welcome to my castle,” Zuri tells one of her friends as they enter her apartment. “You can drop your bag on the floor. My mom and dad will get them.”

“Are we the help?” Stephen asks.

The first trailer for Max’s family-friendly animated comedy “Young Love” has arrived. The 12-episode series comes from Matthew A. Cherry, the Oscar-winning creator behind the short “Hair Love,” and Sony Pictures Animation.

Set in the same universe as Cherry’s Academy Award-winning short film, “Young Love” expands the world of the Love family. The Chicago-based series stars Scott Mescudi, aka Kid Cudi, as Stephen and Issa Rae as Angela, two millennial parents raising their fearless daughter, Zuri (Brooke Monroe Conaway).

The San Diego Comic-Con 2023 trailers feature highly anticipated movies, TV shows, and new series. While Marvel, DC, and Lucasfilm won't have panels, shows like Harley Quinn season 4 and movies like Justice League: Warworld received trailers and clips. Other franchises like The Walking Dead and Star Trek also released exciting new trailers at Sdcc 2023.

The list of San Diego Comic-Con 2023 trailers includes long-awaited movies, popular returning TV shows, and first looks at brand-new series. For years, Sdcc has been synonymous with new trailers and casting reveals from Hollywood's biggest upcoming projects. Studios like Marvel, Lucasfilm, and Warner Bros. often bring their biggest surprises and trailers for Hall H, which is why there is always a level of anticipation for what trailers will be released at Comic-Con. This year, however, Marvel, DC, and Lucasfilm will not have panels at Sdcc. That said, some major trailers and clips are dropping during Comic-Com 2023.

Naturi Naughton and Two Lewis have welcomed a new baby! The stars broke the news on Instagram on June 12, partnering with BET to share sweet photos of the baby's tiny hands and feet. The baby boy, named Tru Xavier Naughton Lewis, was born on May 27 and weighed six pounds and 12 ounces. "Welcome to the world, our beautiful prince: Tru Xavier Naughton Lewis!" they told BET. "We are so blessed ❤️."

Tru is Naughton and Lewis's first child together, but Naughton also has a 5-year-old named Zuri from a previous relationship. "We look forward to bonding in a new way. This is Two's first baby, so he's extra excited to create another human," Naughton told People in February. "We want to push ourselves to be the best partners and the best parents we can be!"

The baby arrives a little over a year after Naughton and Lewis, who met in 2019, tied the knot at the St.
