With Superman debuting in July, audiences are about to meet the first of several DC Universe Green Lanterns. Played by Nathan Fillion, this Green Lantern is Guy Gardner, arguably the cockiest, most brash of the bunch. Guy is poised to be at odds with Superman/Clark Kent (David Corenswet) regarding heroics, and he will also come face to face with the title character in Peacemaker season two. In addition to Guy, the Dcu is also introducing Aaron Pierre as John Stewart and Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan in HBO's Lanterns.

In an appearance on the DC Studios Showcasepodcast, Gunn dished on his plans for the Dcu and specifically the Green Lantern Corps. James Gunn is on a mission to reset the Dcu for good, and something is cooking for everyone. With Superman’s upcoming release, Gunn has recently opened up on some of the future projects, and one of them turned out to be something fans did not see coming.

Fans might want to sit down for a minute for this, because DC is going all horror soon, with Clayface. Yes! As per Gunn’s recent update on the project, the film will be a body horror and will be “rated R.”

Is Superman poor now? That’s the burning question some fans are asking after James Gunn revealed Clark Kent’s new childhood home in the upcoming Superman movie. And honestly, it’s got people divided—like Batman v Superman all over again, but this time over a farm. It all started when DC Studios Showcase hosts Frankey Smith, Tyler Coates, and Coy Jandreau were chatting on the official podcast about Clark’s childhood. Coates and Jandreau argued the Kents were poor—farmers barely making ends meet. Smith, who grew up in New York City, disagreed, saying, “I always thought he was middle class.” They backed it up with logic: the Kents owned land, had equipment, and managed to hold on to a house. MultiCon is putting the final touches on its schedule, which will benefit recovery from the Los Angeles wildfires when it rolls into the Preserve LA on Saturday.

The panels (listed in full below), include a conversation with Kevin Smith, Rob Liefeld and Robert Kirkman, while newly announced guests include All That and Good Burger star Kel Mitchell and Vivien Lyra Blair, known for playing the young Leia in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

They join guests that include David Dastmalchian, Seth Green, Sean Gunn and others.

Liefeld will also sign art from his property Young Blood that will only be available at the convention. As with other signings and photo opportunities with MultiCon talent, the proceeds will benefit United Way of Greater Los Angeles. Tickets starting at $35, while VIP tickets go for $100 and can be purchased here.

Along with the panels, organizers announced that the collectible company Thrilljoy will offer a Pix box figure to every attendee.

A number of comic convention regulars are banding together to help victims of the Los Angeles wildfires.

On Feb. 22, names such as Kevin Smith, David Dastmalchian and Seth Green will assemble at MultiCon, taking place at The Preserve LA. There will be the normal trappings of a comic convention, including panels and autograph signings, but with a twist: fans can donate money to get autographs and selfies with talent.

Others attending include Rob Liefeld, Jackie Tohn, Daniel Logan, Yuri Lowenthal, Tara Platt, Isaac Robinson Smith, Monique Coleman and Kaycee Stroh. More will be announced as the date gets near.

Proceeds benefit United Way of Greater Los Angeles.

Nathalie Emmanuel is the latest star to join the voice cast of the immersive animated series “Ghosts of Ruin.”

The announcement that the “Game of Thrones” and “Fast and Furious” franchise costar would bring her voice talents to the new series was made during the “Ghosts of Ruin” Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.

“Literally, I’m emailing the agents right now in this panel,” executive producer Michael Ramey quipped, underscoring just how “real time” the news had developed.

In May, Variety exclusively revealed that Rosario Dawson and Tony Revolori had joined the cast of the animated series, which follows a group of gamers as they compete in the first-ever neural reality battle royale game, named “Ruin.” However, a malicious virus appears and transforms their utopia into hell.

Emmanuel will voice Dr. Angela Tucci, who Stippec teases is “a very monumental, pivotal character in the run of the show.

Sony has been on a streak, steering its momentum into the cinematic world. Sony’s next pit stop? Transforming Gran Turismo, their flagship racing franchise boasting sales north of 90 million units globally, into a full-fledged film adaptation.

This ambitious project rides the wave of Sony's other successful ventures into this new realm, which include the Uncharted movie and the hit HBO series The Last of Us. The initial reactions to the Gran Turismo movie are trickling in, as the movie gears up for an August 11 release. Many critics and media pundits are impressed with this unconventional take on video game adaptation.

The movie does not borrow its narrative from the games, which are primarily known for their immersive racing experience and not necessarily their storytelling. YouTuber Coy Jandreau just walked Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse fans through exactly what makes Donald Glover's cameo in the animated blockbuster so brilliant.

Jandreau broke down Glover's personal history with the Spider-Man franchise in a video shared on Instagram. In a rapid-fire monologue, he covered everything from Glover's unsuccessful 2010 campaign to be cast as the next live-action Spider-Man and how it influenced Miles Morales' co-creator Brian Michael Bendis to develop the character, to Glover voicing Miles in the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series and starring as Miles' uncle Aaron Davis in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Studios, in partnership with Netflix, Random House, and Bait, hosted a blockbuster Brzrkr panel in the biggest venue at San Diego Comic-Con: the iconic Hall H. Over 6,500 fans gathered at this landmark comic book event in celebration of Brzrkr. Next week, writer and artist Jim Starlin will celebrate 50 years in the comic book industry with a panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Ahead of meeting fans for a panel on Thursday, July 21, the creator known for Marvel’s Thanos, Gamora and Drax is revisiting one of his indie creations, Dreadstar.

On Tuesday, Starlin launches an Indiegogo campaign that will include trading cards focused on Dreadstar, a property he introduced in 1982 and centers on Vanth Dreadstar, leader of a rag-tag crew who go on galaxy-spanning missions. Thanks to the ongoing global situation, everything in the world of entertainment has come to almost a complete standstill, including sports. Well, Ufc president Dana White is not too happy about that and has been trying for weeks to move forward with scheduled Ufc events despite the current circumstances.

Earlier this week, he claimed to have a new plan which some might consider to be a tad extreme. Dana White wants to secure a private island and then fly out fighters and host Ufc events on a weekly basis. The few glimpses we have now gotten of director Matt Reeves' upcoming The Batman are painting a very pretty picture indeed. Following the reveal of the top half of the Batsuit a few weeks ago, yesterday Reeves revealed our first official look at the Batmobile that will be used by Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight to get around the crime-ridden streets of Gotham City. The images are striking, with the Batmobile looking like a souped-up muscle car whilst still paying homage to the Golden Age version of the superheroes' iconic set of wheels.
