Linzy proudly identifies as queer and calls herself a true Masshole. She is Italian, Irish, and Portuguese. Her mother called her a little tornado of happiness and said she never needed a microphone.
As a young child, she began modeling and acting lessons at John Robert Powers Agency in Worcester. Linzy obtained proper representation in New York City thanks to her honorable mention for her comedic impressions, and 1st place win for a dramatic monologue at the annual IMTA competition in 1994. She said she didn't want to model because she didn't enjoy the fancy clothes, or etiquette lessons. Linzy auditioned for the role of Ermengarde in A Little Princess (1995), Angelica in The Rugrats (1995), Dawn in Welcome to the Dollhouse (1995), and a Pepsi commercial before getting her first callback.
She landed her first role of Lizzie in Su Friedrich's Hide and Seek (1996). It was hard for to get back to school after such a fun year auditioning and working. Linzy did a lot of local community theatre and worked with Broadway vocal coach Jerry Newby. She began singing and starring in High School plays. Getting pregnant at 15 put a halt on her dreams. She stepped into her role as a mother with pride, and was happy to stay close to home. Linzy bought her first guitar when she was 20, and began playing and singing at Tammany Hall in Worcester Massachusetts. She was also the backup singer in the 8 piece funk band Holmes, touring New England for a few years until she moved to Connecticut.
Linzy and Chris Kelley welcomed their first child in 2012, Lucas Thor Kelley who played Leo in Peter Berg's Patriots Day in 2016. Lucas didn't have a match in the registry. Not until his costars Michelle Monaghan, Rachel Brosnahan, and Chris O' Shea, shared his story on their social media pages. In 2017, Lucas had a life saving Bone Marrow Transplant. Being on set of Patriot's Day sparked the fire within Linzy once again. She started writing, and finished her first feature with her now ex-husband, whom she still lives with. Her social media pages have amassed over 2.25 million followers.
Now married to Mike Taylor, Linzy believes that her social media grew exponentially because she chose to share what it's like to live with her husband, her ex-husband, and four of their six collective children. She also shares her views on parenting alternatively, as she has two autistic boys. Linzy likes to share her raw authenticity with her followers. Over the years she has worked with Jennifer Esposito, Julia Yorks, and has taken on creative projects. Linzy wrote and produced the Cheer Choice Awards with Kelly Guarnacio in 2024, and 2025. She's presently revising screenplays, and writing her first novel.
